As soon as we both hopped on the car, silence once again filled the whole ride. I took a deep breath and just let it be until I noticed that Mirna was doing something with her hand as if she's nervous. She's making her both thumbs roll over each other and kept glancing on my way which I pretend that I didn't notice at all. I just let her be in whatever mood she's having by now. When she was at that pace, I opened the stereo of my car, and automatically one of my favorite songs played. The song was entitled I Will Wait For You by Gracenote and I am indeed feeling the song which made Mirna stopped from playing with her thumbs.

That first stanza really happened to me when I was still living under one roof of my parents. They acted as my matchmaker but never happened because I always told them that I am waiting for someone. Well, since my parents understood but they still pushed me to meet whoever they see fit for my standards, and of course through all of that meetings, I told them that I am not looking for someone and just focused on my own. Though deep inside, I am waiting for someone, my beloved one.

But if you're not ready yet, well…" I am not sure why I suddenly sang the refrain lyrics along with the song that's playing over my car stereo but it got Mirna's attention. Maybe it's a win-win scenario.

And I'll your pride…" I kept singing till the chorus and I could feel that Mirna was staring at me. And when I meant staring, she's openly staring and it's a piercing one. It felt like she's digging deep into my soul which I can't help to smile and felt warm from that look that came from her.

Well, it's been happening to me lately. Each time my eyes went close, all I could ever think of was Mirna along with those lips that touched mine. I could feel the sparks shooting all over my body and it's making me all tingled, warm, and alive. I never felt it over anything or with someone; just with her and no one else.

If you'd take the chance and be with me…" I sang the bridge part of the song as soon as I stopped the car at the 3rd entrance of the parking space in the D' Residence and looking at her.
We're actually looking deeply at each other orbs as I sang that part and even just a glimpse, I saw Mirna's smiling face but it suddenly turned into a blank façade and I am fine with it. It was enough for now that I saw her smiling face as if she's telling me that she's willing to take a chance with me. But knowing her mood right now, she was just going to deny it.
Anyway, as our staring went off, I get off of the car and just let the song kept playing in Mirna's background while I went to her side to open the car door for her.
"Yeah I'll be your pride
I'll be your pride." I sang the last part of the song as I stretched and offered my hand out to her. She didn't think twice and took my offer before getting out of the car.
"Mirna, would you let me be your pride and took this chance to be with me?" I took this chance and asked her something I never dared to ask anyone, just her.
"I'll tell you later." Mirna only answered before walking ahead of me. She moved like a boss of me which I found fascinating and just tailed her.
Over the parking area, we went to elevator access which Mirna has to access her unit passcode before we could even ride the elevator. When the elevator finally descends, we have to open the railing that's blocking the elevator door for safety purposes before entering the elevator itself. We closed the railing and again, Mirna was to press the button of the floor where her unit located before the elevator's door closed. The ride in the elevator was too quiet which made me hymned some random melody that just came out from my mind when I felt a slight nudge over to my right side. I looked to Mirna who suddenly walked ahead since the elevator was already stopped on the designated floor and opened the railings. As we got out, I closed the railings and followed where Mirna's going. Just a couple of rooms that we just passed, she stopped in the best view of the D' Residence. Her unit was located at the center which has a nice view of the rice and wine farm.
"Got a nice unit." I commented as she inserted her key and swipe her key card over her door. It might look hassle but it's for their safety.
"Lady Syrina gave this unit for me." Mirna answered as she opened the door and let me in before the door close with an automatic lock. Well, the lock-in every residence has the manual set whether to leave it to unlock or lock it immediately as soon as the person who entered or left their unit.
"Why is that?" I wondered as I removed my coat and watched her walked around her while tossing her things on the couch in her living room. I've also taken notice that she has a huge studio-type unit. From the entrance, shoe storage welcomes you before you could step over the small-sized living area followed by a dining table that could fit four persons only.
"I excel more than the others. Well, that's according to her." She answered as she passed the dining and went to the kitchen that has a parallel setup.
"Hm, she's right about that." I agreed to Syrina's decision since Mirna was indeed capable of working with her bosses.
"What do you mean?" she wondered in her curious tone after she drunk some water and handing me a glass of it as well.
"Let see…maybe because you could keep up with the way I think whenever it's work-related." I only answered which she just nods at before heading to another way that's next to the kitchen which I think it's the comfort room. She passed it and went inside the first room across the hall while the other room was just next to the comfort room.
I just watched her went inside while I just let myself be comfortable over the couch when I noticed something that's being displayed next to the television set in the living room, an acoustic guitar. I was about to touch it when Mirna came out from the room and holding some files over her hand and a small tempered glass cube. It made me curious as I watched her place it over her dining table before looking at me.
"Alright, go straight to the point, Mirna." I directly told her since I've got the feeling this one was a serious call.
"These were the things I want to discuss with you." She pointed to the files and the cube which I don't want to look at for a moment and just listen.
"Let me hear it then." I encouraged her to speak about them.
"Alright. I've search about the things why we have to make FRSil and I think it's for the real Fallen Rogues. I mean a night creature like you." She started what she just did and I am not surprised at all. When she's curious about something, she'll dig about it.
"So, tell me Elrisha, why?" she wondered. Then after gathering some intel about it, she's going to ask the person in charge which was me.
"Since you did your own research behind my back let me tell you about some things." I released a defeated sigh.
"I'm all ears then." She waited which I smiled at. All the cats were out in one day with her.
"Fallen Rogues in the night realm or night creatures like us were the worse than any rogues. If I could compare rogues in human language, they'll be a thief or serial killers while fallen rogues were twice or more dangerous than them. Hmm, I think they were like zombie-like or double-dead creatures with no sense of love or life. They were just going to act according to their desire without consideration and only a few and selected fallen rogues passed them and mated." I explained which she automatically got one file that she had researched.
"I see. I've also had those names that were ones fallen rogues but they were still dangerous if they went to that state again." She nodded while reading her own research as if she's checking if they were right.
"If they weren't being able to be pulled back, they were going to be the worse among the worse till death spare them." I added to my explanation.
"That's why both of you looking for the remedies to sustain them as it can." She nodded again while I took a sip from my water.
"Once you're fallen rogue you can't be anyone else. You're always be a fallen rogue and that's why we decided to help them." I added once again while I watched her reaction carefully.
"But they could be addicted to it." She thought ahead which I smirked at since Syrina and I thought of it as well.
"I know that's why we had a plan on rehabbing them before their fallen side escalated since it was very too late to do it with a fallen rogue that's already fallen deep." I cleared that part on her which made her threw the file that she's reading among the other research she did.
"Damn, I never thought it's a big project." She released a heavy sigh as she slumps her back over the dining chair that she's sitting at.
"It is that's also why Syrina chooses you." I pressed which caught her interest.
"I think you already know since you already made your own move on researching behind my back. Plus, it runs in your genes." I continued since her face showing off how curious she was about it.
"What about my genes?" she was indeed a curious cat.
"Fated to be with me." I honestly told her which of course she didn't believe.
"Oh please. Stop flirting." She just waved it off and got up from her seat and looking for something at her refrigerator.
"I am not. I'm just stating the truth, my beloved." I countered which made her shrugged her shoulders and kept looking for something to cook.
"Fine. Whatever." I heard her even she said them in a low tone. I just let it be and read the files that she gathered along with the cube.
I was looking over the cube when I felt something suddenly wrapped around me and it was the fruity mint tea that I sneezed at. Then the next thing I felt was the piercing gaze coming from the white tiger resting inside Mirna. The piercing gaze wasn't threatening but it needed something from me which made me looked over her and she was moving around the kitchen. Mirna was preparing something for our lunch since it was already past eleven then I recalled something from this morning.
"Aren't you not going to ask me about my cousin?" I wondered which made her halted for a second from chopping onions.
She just didn't say anything and just went back on chopping the onions and some garlic before tossing over the hot pan with cooking oil. Then she mixed them before putting the can good corn beef and followed the diced potato before adding some basil and rosemary for the spice. When she was done, she prepared the already cooked rice and placed everything on the plates. I just shook my head since she did not say anything which I took the liberty to clean up the dining table from the files. I took every plated food on the counter space and placed them over the clean dining table while she cleaned up the kitchen. When she was done cleaning up and already washed hands, we ate our lunch quietly. And since it was a few minutes earlier than the typical lunch hour, she decided to drop the bomb that took me off guard. I mean, really off guard.
"Let's date." I was stunned and frozen when I heard those words came out of her mouth before I looked her way.
I still couldn't believe or even let my mind be wrapped about what she just mentioned but the look over her face tells me another story. Mirna's face was totally red from blushing since she's embarrassed about saying them to me in person which I could also feel the heat forming over my cheeks as well.
