Back at Kiyoshi's apartment, Kiyoshi was now studying and doing his homework at his bedroom with focus. In his desk with a few drawers, notebooks and textbooks laid across it with a minimum of mess. Pens, mechanical pencils, traditional pencils, and highlighters scattered around, on the books and beside them. The desk lamp was turned off because there is still sunlight as the sun sets at the west, as if the desk was located at a window that gives natural light. And, Kiyoshi was studying algebra and physics, two of his favorite subjects at school, along with literature, history, and geography. His least favorite subjects were science, biology, and physical education. In fact, he struggled through it, but received good grades on every exam. Everything was quiet, despite being less than 1 kilometer from downtown, where work is dominant, mostly in offices. Kiyoshi was wearing his blue t-shirt and soft, green pants, while his school uniform was in his wardrobe for next day of school.
"Wow, today is ordinary, but not the news," Kiyoshi thought to himself as he study in focus, "I mean, that guy from 2-A went missing. Was he sick or something? His parents said that he didn't came home yesterday either. This is weird." He then turned to another page and resumed studying.
By dinnertime, after taking a shower and dressing in his indoor clothes, Kiyoshi put in his white apron and start cooking for himself. Since he was the only one in his home, Kiyoshi often cook meals for himself, as well as washing the dishes and cleaning the dining table and kitchen. For tonight, he will be having curry rice, one of his favorite foods for dinner along with ramen noodles and udon. He can make and cook that dish thanks to his years of practice and experience through his friends and various cookbooks his mother used to own. Despite being an orphan and had no siblings, Kiyoshi was guided by letters and diary entries left by his parents before they perished in a plane crash, making his life a bit easier and manageable. Those guides include things like how to take care of one's self and advices during hard times. This indicates that Kiyoshi was determined not to give up and not to succumb to his negative emotions, hoping for a better future.
After some time, his meal is now done and Kiyoshi take it to the dining table and settled in. After doing the prayer gesture, he eat up with delight, tasting the spices in his mouth. It seems he is very happy in this type of lifestyle. After dinner, he put the plates and utensils at the kitchen sink, wipe the table clean, and wash the dishes all by himself. In terms of cleaning, he likes to clean and organize things in his home, but not as obsessive as those who suffered from OCD.
Later by 9:06 p.m., after brushing his teeth and doing his homework, Kiyoshi opened up his dark grey, hardcover, B5 notebook reserved for his journal and diary entries and start writing his diary log about his day. He was calm, with a soft, piano music in his ears through his smartphone. The room was dark except being brighten by that same desk lamp. It seems that the words from his vocabulary are flowing in the pages made of cream color, 80 GSM paper, like a river flowing through freely. After writing his diary entry, he opened up a small plastic case containing his favorite stickers and memo sheets and stick one sticker in a cafe design and theme and one memo sheet in botany theme onto his current diary page, making his page a bit more unique and filled with designs. After that he made a straight, horizontal line across the page using a yellow pastel highlighter, making it even more unique. He started to do diary entries when he was in grade school, but journaling is when he is in first year in high school. Both of these hobbies had calm him down after days of hectic tasks that most people in his age find difficult. After all that journaling, Kiyoshi closed his notebook, turned off the lamp, and went to bed, finally resting from his day, and hoping to be ready for another day.
