'He must be kidding. He cannot expect us to run again.' Nagela thought or that's what her facial expression means.
"I can't believe you meant it." Vine protested.
"Get in the car Nitzveh, Adelita," Quique commanded opening the door for them. " Irwin, keep walking like that and the car trunk is all yours."
Four months, two weeks and one day have passed since they entered the States. Four months, two weeks and two days ago, Vine was living her lonely life comfortably till Chauncey dropped the next day following the others.
Two months ago, she was encouraged to do the shooting after the threatening message and the same two months Eamonn began dating Rayna. Their relationship has blossomed so far under the scrutiny of his family except Ethan and Kaylee. The two had come to terms with their brother's choice whilst the others not too well. He does what a boyfriend do for his girlfriend. He takes her to dates at all kinds of places, picks her up to and fro work, hold hands in public, announce their relationship publicly, dine together and even help her score her bucket list which I must tell you are no small matters for a lady of high principles.
Unlike other graduations, Vine was alert to find a ketchup or ketchups. They had secretly devised codes to help them in emergencies. Their father, Graham and their nanny, Manny were the only ones who knew the meanings apart from them. Code Lavinia also known as Great Terror was to indicate the presence of their mother, code ketchup, indicates the presence of enemies or traitors and code Pixy was for danger zone. The serious amongst all was Great Terror. This five eight tall, blue eyes and black haired lady was loved and feared at the same time.
Vaishali Farah Rathore also known as Lavinia Marylis, the world's most fearsome and affectionate mother, wife and midwife is not someone you should mess with. After losing her eldest daughter the fourth born , her life came crumbling. It is hard for a mother when her child dies before her. She became more strict, overbearing, bossy and awfully controlling. She blamed the death of her daughter Maheera on her daughter's husband and her judgement of letting her children live liberally without discipline. Maheera had eloped with a guy a year older than her in the military when she turned eighteen claiming to be in love. Vaishali had disagreed, the boys became overprotective and the remaining girls were placed under confinement. She thought of marrying the lad long ago — two years ago. The two were madly in love. They sought the blessings of their parents only to be turned down describing their attraction as an infatuation. The two took bold steps and got married when Maheera turned eighteen in Australia, their hideout. Being in the army, he was away most of the time. The leave he got, they spent it fruitfully. One thing lead to another, Maheera found out she was pregnant. Their joy knew know bounds. Maheera made sure to stay in touch with her younger sister, Nitzveh. She informed her of their newest arrival which she also shared their joy. Maheera was closer to Nitzveh more than anyone thought. She revealed some of her deepest darkest secrets to Nitzveh including why she eloped.
Her uncertain death was a big blow to all. Her then three year old daughter became a full time orphan after her father Theo Dupont was killed in action(KIA)– six months after Maheera's death. She was struck by a deadly disease. What everyone was made to believe. The Dupont family wanted full custody of Harlyn, Maheera's daughter when they learnt of both demise. That conjured the wrath of Vaishali. Even though she disagreed of their marriage, Harlyn was the only descendant of her poor Maheera hence with all her power she was going to protect her. She received the backing of her family whether they liked it or not. She never wanted any of her children or grandchildren to go through what she went through to get to where she is now was what Vaishali believed. Her mother an Indian aware of the British past indulgence despised all Britons. Graham was an exchange student in the business class of her university. They bumped into each other and love bloomed between them. Sarita, Vaishali's mother was furious of their relationship and planned an arranged marriage for Vaishali. When she found out, she ran to England with Graham changing her name altogether though retaining her biological name.
To make matters worse, wrote a false note claiming to be pregnant with Graham's child; to prevent disgrace , she was moving with him. The two lovebirds couldn't be more happier about the success of their scanty plan. Graham's family welcomed her with a notion placed in their heads that Vaishali was a homeless exchange student who cannot go back home because her mother detests girl child education. Staying with them wasn't a problem since Sarita vowed to never step out of India. Their news of being in love and getting married wasn't a surprise to the ripen couple. They were aware of their secretive glances, smiles, touching of hands and enjoying of each other's company. Their wedding was witnessed by a few relatives of Graham and a few friends of (Vaishali now ) Lavinia. She made sure to send an album of her wedding to her mother which she (her mother) turned to ashes. Life continued afterward with no hindrances.
Currently seven years old Harlyn the brat lives in Darwin with Manny. They had fought for her custody as a way to show repentance towards Maheera. Vine and her siblings fled from their mother dispersing into different continents and countries when they got the chance. Their mother constantly tracking them with her resources as always. She wants them back near her where she can protect each and everyone of her children to suppress her guilt of not taking care of Maheera.
Standing at the Portland Airport departure unit, the very same airport they all came from, Chauncey, Vine and Nagela waited to be called to board their respective flights. They were all going to places they had ran from. Chauncey was to go back to Ukraine, Vine to Poland and Nagela back to Philippines. Whoever informed their mother was in deep trouble. They had common suspects. Edison and Isabel their cousin and D-Norris' on and off girlfriend respectively. Edison knew all where they've been to since he is the one who forges fake identities in whatever country for them and Isabel knew because they receive explicit information through her. The intention was to confuse their trackers especially their mother. When she finds out they are dispersed, she will have to decide who to go after first. That is a difficult topic on its own. D-Norris is to go back to Albania with a private jet and Quique to New Zealand.
"Bye, Turnip. Call me you all even though it's not possible. Time to party!" Chauncey squealed before he left the quad.
"À bientôt ma soeur (see you soon sister)," Nagela bade. "You too boys."
The intercom buzzed, "Flight number 205, please report to the boarding area."
"That's my flight. Goodbye Quique and Dylan," Vine said sadly." stay safe and don't get into trouble you two." She gave them a French kiss.
"You think this is a good idea. Fleeing again?" D-Norris asked after Vine left.
" Do you have any better idea, Agent Jones?" Quique fumed. " No. Right? So let's see where this takes us. I'm tired of running just like you but to survive, it must be done. Unless you want to live sucking up to someone!"
