Chapter 1 - Introduction

Hi, everybody. My real name is Marcia Gioseffi. I am brazilian. I was born at Brazil. Rio de Janeiro city. I grow up at Iguaba Grande, Praia Linda.

One year before...

-Good morning, captain. - the voice was cautious.

-Who said it would be a good day with you by these waters? Too bad the Black Coral didn't sink and you didn't go with it. I was unlucky. He could have rounded up the corsairs and bought the men in the tavern to drink. After all, everyone deserves a break from the routine.

-Genius?

- Taking advantage of my share of the booty.

-Good serve?

-Not really. They stole it before me. Some time ago. I'm smarter now. I can be generous and give you alms, Philip Morgan.

-Is there any chance of us being friends?

-Under my dead body?

-We could at least talk...

-Have I told you I hate you? Negligible. Arrogant, Miserable. rascal ordinary. Vagabond and mediocre. I'm busy. Spending my money. I think you forgot the part that called me a slut. You know... I prefer smart. Despicable men like you are a disgrace to the male gender.

-Come on, Cassie...

"I never permitted you to call me by my first name, a crook.

Philip Morgan sighed. Oh, would certain things ever change?

-Have you heard that hate can turn to love?

-Have you heard that in hell it doesn't rain, a disgrace?

-Someday we'll be friends.

-Never. Not even at the end of the world.

-I could at least be tolerant and reasonable...

-Not even death. I hope you die and away from me and mine. You won't find any mercy from me.
