Chapter 6 - System and mana

I reach the forest again alone and look at the cover of the book: Principles of magic and magical professions. It was really a find, things like that are not seen for sale anywhere, magic is not found among peasants of little cities like thar, usually only the nobles and some clans have access to it, of course, in the big cities the basic principles of magic is well known by every person.

The book is a little more difficult than my reading ability allows me and it takes me a while to be able to read. 'Mana is the energy present in all things, every rock, object or living being has mana. Magic is nothing more than the ability to manipulate and modify that energy around. The mana holder regulates mana users by the system and not everyone is qualified to have access to it.

[...]

Warriors absorb mana in the air and transform it into their bodies to improving their constitution of bones, muscles and tendons, this can only be done through techniques that have been studied and tested for generations, so they are only possible to find in family clans and warrior sects, each technique varies in its effects and bodily improvements in a direction of use. Among the warriors we can find the most diverse classes, among the most common are: [Swordsman, Warrior, Paladin, Soldier, Archer, Hunter, Rogue, Assassin, Monk, Barbarian, Fighter].

[...]

Direct users of magic use external mana as their main weapon and tool, through of c control and manipulation of this energy they increase their capacities and are great allies in incursions and missions. It becomes more difficult to become an external mana user since greater than ordinary mental power is required and most techniques and traditions are found in sects and academies that have these skills. We can find the most diverse classes, among the most common are: [Bard, Cleric, Druid, Mage, Warlock, Sorcerer, Priest, Shaman]'

The book listed other side professions that used mana as well, but it is nothing I can go into now. What I really wanted to know is how to activate the system to start my path. The night had already come, but that didn't stop me from reading, the strange eyes give me a kind of almost perfect night vision, it wasn't enough to see over great distances, but what was written in the book was close enough to be read by me. "Haha, I found it!" laughs to myself.

"The simplest way to activate the system consists of two parts. The first is to perceive the flow of mana in the world around you, this can be achieved through meditation, many cannot get past this part because their perception of mana is scarce, after all, talent also counts. The second part is controlling the mana and attracting it into your body, the amount needed varies between the existing breeds, some need only a small amount, while others need a little more. Besides being the simplest way, it is not the easiest. Beginners can be helped by their masters and have their mana forced inside their bodies, which cuts the time required for the activation of the system, but often also limits the future path of the apprentice to be the same as the master."
