"What's happening?" Darren asked his mom, wanting to get to the bottom of what he missed when he was in France.
He never failed to notice the way his mother seemed to not look at him straight in the eyes. Of the way she'd gulp and smiled anxiously.
This spurs the gut feeling he was experiencing. Something unpleasant had happened. And it was not right. If what Timothee said to the letter were true, then it was probably a huge issue.
It made Tim left him. This makes what happened not a simple runaway action. There's a reason, there's an explanation, and a knowledge that's been kept away from him.
He deserves to know that. He deserves to know what happened and is currently happening.
"Sweetheart," his mother started, tone veering on the fact that she didn't want to talk about this at all.
"What happened? I deserve to know and I have to know" he demanded strictly. Ignoring the noise from Hugo on the background, followed by a heavy sigh.
