Darren smiled at his father as his face popped into the facetime call.
"Hi, Dad" he greeted, trying to sound cheerful. He wouldn't want to give away that his mood is not really that happy, right?
"I miss you and Mom already" he added and waved a hand.
His father chuckled and nodded, "We miss you too"
Darren looked at his father's background, seeing that he's still at their living room. His forehead creased and he raised an eyebrow,
"You aren't going to the company?"
"We are. I'm waiting for your mom. So, how are things there?" he asked and no matter how much Darren wanted to vent things out and rant, he knows he cannot and shouldn't.
His parents have to worry about the company. Something which he should be doing and here he is again, doing something while letting his parents do the work.
