I open my water bottle and take a big sip. It's super hot today. We are walking through all kinds of streets, looking for a good football shop. We have decided that we are each going to buy a football jersey to wear during the game today.
Coll and Justin had put together an E-reader for my birthday, because ladies and gentlemen, this girl is officially 18 years old. I was super happy when they handed it to me at breakfast. Mom gave me some new books that had been on my wish list for a long time. "Maybe this store?" Justin suggests when we're in front of a big store whose window is full of football accessories. Without saying anything, we all enter the store. The fresh air from the air conditioner immediately lowers my body temperature, leaving me with a satisfied sigh.
I follow my two brothers to the T-shirts and am amazed by the number of different shirts hanging here. They come in all sorts of sizes, colors, and people with different numbers. 'Wow, how are we going to find something in here' I wonder out loud. 'We'd better buy a sweater from one of the teams that are playing tonight' Coll decides while he searches the internet for the sweaters of the two teams.
"I'd buy the team's California jersey. After all, we're here and we're on their side of the stadium.' I say to Coll. "Okay, we have to look for the California Golden Bears' sweaters, which are dark blue," he says while I and Justin search the store for the right sweaters.
"Found them!" cries Justin on the other side of the store. When Justin arrives I see three rows of blue T-shirts, but no women's sizes. I grab the first T-shirts I can see and grab it. Then I go and see mommy and daddy who are ready as well. In the end, mum and dad bought a hat and I and my brothers bought T-shirts. On my T-shirts is number 1 with Martin underneath. Justin's is number 5 with the name Broke. On Coll's is Smith with number 11.
Satisfied with our purchases we go to the checkout to pay. After shopping, we decide to go back to the hotel to get ready. I get into the shower and enjoy the warm jets that relax my back muscles. After the shower, I dry myself off and decide not to dry my hair with the hairdryer. I don't put on make-up because I'm going to have to put on my glasses anyway if I want to follow the game.
I go back to my room and get some black skinny jeans out of my suitcase. On top of that, I put on my new T-shirts and to finish the look I put on my Adidas shoes. I look at my mobile phone and see how fast time flies by.
Just when I close the door of my room I feel an arm being slammed around my shoulders. Looking up to my two brothers, they lead me to our parents, ready for the game. On the way to the stadium, dad tries to explain to us as much as possible how the game works. I may read a lot of books where there are football games, but I never knew how it works. None of the family actually, but dad clearly asked google for help beforehand.
Following the crowds that have formed around us, we come across a beautifully lit but very large stadium. 'Wow' me and Coll say at the same time, which makes us laugh. After a few minutes of waiting, we're allowed to enter. Inside it's even busier than outside. Everywhere are people walking and there are a lot of food stalls. 'Yeah, hotdogs. I want a hotdog' says Justin when he looks at the stall to our right.
We all decide to buy ourselves a hotdog and a drink, with our hands full, we sit down on our chairs.
