Murdock sighs tapping his hands on the steel table as he leaned on the chair, he looks around as a woman entered the room removing her: gun, badge & handcuffs and places them on the table in front of him as she sits across from him. The woman was dressed wearing: white dress shirt, tan dress pants & black dress shoes; she had short curly Blue hair kept in a bun and her left arm was a prosthetic mechanical arm, she looks me in the eye with her bright Green eyes as she sits down she puts a file on the table and says to Murdock "My name is Detective Hardy, I'm here to investigate this incident." Murdock responds with "I'm not saying shit till I get my lawyer." He says as he tries crossing his arm but the chain stops him so he rests his chin on the table, she sighs and responds.
"Fine don't talk but I found your file: Waylon Murdock, Age: 21, you were formerly a veteran during the Industrial Wars. You got a lot of redacted info, plus a dishonorable discharge, the reasons for are of course are redacted, you have no real citizenship aside from time served in the Armed Forces. Now that I know you I'm going show you just so you know what you're gonna be getting-" she opens a file and reads "-you'll be charged with: carrying a firearm & deadly weapons, assault, destruction of property & most severely attempted theft of Mystic Gem. These are pretty harsh crimes.."
Murdock sighs and says "Guess you really want me to talk?" She crosses her arms and he says "First of all that gun is registered under the Repo-Men Armed Carry Accords, where Repo-men can carry weapons as a means of self-defense against psychos like that muscle head earlier. Second I was attacked and defended myself; can't blame me if some cars got smashed in the process. And thirdly you have no proof I was stealing the gem, even if I was it looked like junk to begin with. Wouldn't get much of a profit out of it." He says as he pats himself and finds his cigarette case and lit it with a match and slowly smokes the cigarette, in that instant the lawyer came in and said a few things to the detective & gave her a paper which in the abridged sense said I was free under the 'Concerned Citizens Act' and which meant in dire situations Murdock would be given the right to defend himself & his fellow citizens.
Murdock was given back his personal items: Mask, Wallet, Backpack, Gun & Knives. He leaves with the lawyer and the lawyer says to Murdock 'That'll be thousands Black Golds Mr. Murdock.' Murdock sighs feeling like he was cheated and said "Geez you're worse than Loan Sharks." The lawyer then chuckles and says "Is what I would normally charge for this kind of task, but since it was a favor from a good friend I'll do this for free." He says smoking as he tosses the lawyer three plates of Black Gold and says "Think of this as a sign of thanks." Murdock says leaving the Lawyer and heading back to Eden's Villa to get some tools plus call an old friend who fortunately owed him a favor. When he arrives at his apartment he had an Eviction Notice stapled to the door, he opens the door and puts all his necessary tools in his backpack. As Murdock is leaving he runs into a few of the guys from the bar fortunately they weren't in too bad of shape, since the medical unit caught them just in time.
"I really wish I could cover your rent for you, since you saved us and all, but my bar is already under as it is" Said the Barkeep, while he had his arm in a sling/cast.
"And my kids are already hungry.."
"Yeah! And these medical bills are gonna put me in debt forever " the other Barflies all said as they seemed to genuinely wanna help Murdock but they had their own lives to take care of, even tho they were pretty much looking like mummies given their bandages.
"Hmm, well thank you for the offers, but this isn't all that bad. I needed to get out of town anyways, I haven't left since I came here as a kid. Well, till later." Murdock says smiling
