Chapter 8 - Chapter 07

I closed the door and ran upstairs to choose an outfit. I had to choose one fast, unfortunately I'm indecisive so that was a problem.

Luckily, I found a white shirt with red letters on it that I paired with distressed jeans and decided to add my favorite black leather jacket over it. I grabbed my white shoes and grey socks and placed them over my feet while I grabbed my phone.

I ran downstairs and headed out the door, met with Blaze's stare and Parker still digging his hands in his pockets. I nodded at Blaze to start walking and she and Parker nodded back and began walking.

I caught up with them and dug my hands in my pockets like Parker since my hands were freezing. We continued walking after the first two blocks and I could hear the party from the third block.

Man this party was going to get complaints.

When we finally arrived, there were people smoking, drinking, making out, some were fighting other people with fists and words, and others were crying.

A house full of underage white children, what could go wrong.

The house was huge. Music blasted in your ears whether you were inside or outside and the first thing you noticed was, apart from the music, the vast house that looked like a mansion.

Whoever owned this house was going to have a large dent in their wallet from cleaning supplies.

We walked in and Parker immediately darted for the kitchen. I rolled my eyes. Blaze never drank because her father scared her whenever he would drink, but she ran to alcohol when she needed or wanted to forget something.

I don't support it, but I don't control Blaze. She makes her decisions, not me.

I wasn't even surprised that she tugged at my arm so I could follow her into the kitchen. I was gonna watch her so she didn't accidentally get too wasted. She grabbed a plastic cup and the nearest beer that she could find and poured some into her cup.

I placed a hand on my hip when she immediately started chugging her drink.

"Try not to get intoxicated when I come back."

She nodded and I grabbed some water, throwing it at her and she caught it. I left her as I tried looking for the bathroom. As I was looking around, I recognized plenty of people at the party: I even saw Mitch.

And that's when I realized we were at Mitchell's party. His so-called "Halloween" party. I could go to a high school reunion when everybody was like ninety and have way more there.

There wasn't even Halloween music playing.

What a joke.

I looked in rooms downstairs, trying to find the bathroom and never found one. I groaned in annoyance and went upstairs. I opened a door and was disgusted to see no bathroom, but people trying to make other people go blind.

In other words, they were banging each other.

I went into multiple rooms and kept getting scarred left and right and when I put my ear to a door and luckily heard no sound of,- well the noises people would make; I am not reenacting any of those sounds, and went inside to find no one in there.

Contently, I sat on the toilet trying to ignore the extremely loud music that were blasting in my ears. I left when I was satisfied and headed downstairs only to see Blaze drinking a whole bottle of beer.

Damn, whatever happened today must've been rough.

I went over to her to find a boy wrapping his arm around a waist. I grabbed a beer bottle and looked the guy straight in the eye.

"Remove that arm and this bottle doesn't make connect with your head." I threaten. The guy immediately removes his hand and starts walking away. Coward. I place the bottle away, but Blaze grabs it and chugs it. I look her up and down.

"How many have you had already?"

She looks at me as she's chugging her beer and wraps her arm around my head and burps loudly. I shook my head and sighed.

I should have never let her side.

"Let's see...if I had two when you were here and like five when you left that equals-" I cut her off, "You drank seven beers?!" I ask, concerned. She waved me off with her free hand.

"I never said I had exactly five beers when you left, but I think I did." I raised an eyebrow.

Because that's any better.

You didn't even have to smell her breath to know that she was wasted, I could be at the other side of the house and still smell her breath and everyone else's. Now that I think about it, this party smells like drunk, wasted, white children.

It's so much fun called teenagers white children.

Parker came towards us with a water bottle in his hand and eyed Blaze's drunk figure. I shook my head and led both of them outside. I grabbed the water from Parker and forced Blaze to drink it.

She shook her head. "I want beer!"

I groaned. Her voice was the equivalent of a chipmunk and a five year old. Man I hate when Blaze is drunk.

"Shut up and drink the water." I demanded, and Blaze groaned and took a sip of her water.

"You seem upset." Parker pointed out. I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I'm surrounded by a bunch of non-virgin drunk white children, my best friend is wasted, this music is extremely loud for my likely, and I'm starting to feel a headache forming."

He raised an eyebrow at me, Blaze still drinking her water.

"Didn't you come here with us willingly?"

"Didn't you come here for a beer or something?" I asked, mocking his tone.

"Yes, but I realized Blaze was going to accidentally intoxicate herself and I knew someone would have to take care of her."

I folded my arms. "What makes you think I couldn't take care of her? I didn't even take a whiff of any beer or alcohol."

Unless it was from Blaze's mouth.

"I know...just-," I interrupted, letting my anger get the best of me, "No, you know what! If there's something you and Blaze are hiding from me just tell me! I'm about to go out of my mind!"

He opened his mouth, but quickly closed it and loon away. I huffed. "Fine, you watch her. I'm heading out."

I left, practically stomping away from every step that touched the floor and went off it. I didn't know why I was so angry, but I was annoyed. Yes, I didn't want to force it out of them, but I was getting so frustrated.

They both weren't telling me anything sooner or later. That's for sure.

As I was passing people, a bunch were standing so close to eachother that there was literally a dance floor of people grinding on each other.

And when I passed those people, they kept grinding on me then I felt puke forming in my throat. After a whole group of people grinding on others and on me, I headed straight for the door.

When I opened it, I was faced with hazel forest green eyes. I gulped as he scoffed.

"What a surprise to find you here. Last time I check you didn't even wanna come."

I roll my eyes. "Out of the way, ass."

I tried walking out, but  more people came in and I ended up falling to the ground. I grunted as Ashton started laughing at me.

"Klutz."

"Loser."

"Headstrong."

"Hot-head."

He grinned. "Sidekick." He pronounced, slowly.

I groaned in annoyance.

"Stop calling me that, asshole." I hissed as I pushed myself off the floor.

"Can't help it, I love how it pisses you off."

I clenched a fist and he raised an eyebrow.

"Was that supposed to scare me?" He asked and I folded my arms, getting rid of my fist.

"It was more of a threat." I clarified.

He raised his eyebrow higher, "Right."

He went towards the kitchen and I darted my way out of the house. I decided to sit on the sidewalk and breathe in the fresh sir.

Apart from the incredibly loud, obnoxious music, it was peaceful outside. Much more than inside, that house was a condom factory alright.

I sighed as I rested my head between my legs. Someone sat next to me and I slowly looked over at them as they lit up a cigarette. I arched an eyebrow when they started looking at me with a confused expression.

"What? Do you want one?"

I waved them off. "I don't smoke."

He shrugged and put the cigarette to his lips as I looked out into the distance. I breathed in the air while I still could and watched as the smoke from the guy's cigarette came towards my way.

I coughed, waving the smoke away from my face and nostrils. He sighed and I saw him clench both fists from my sight.

"What's your name?" The guy asked and I looked at him.

I didn't immediately answer his question since I didn't want to be hit on tonight.

"I'm not going to hit on you."

I looked at his face to make sure he wasn't lying and kept looking for a signal that told me he was lying. He groaned.

"If I flirt or hit on you, I give you permission to kick my balls."

That would be nice.

"Fine, it's Robin." I answered, curious about whatever statement he was going to throw at me.

"Promise me you won't hide your feelings from the one you love or like." I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.

Why was he making me promise this when I didn't even know the guy?

"I know we don't know each other, but after what I went through at least someone else can have a chance of having a better love life."

I looked away, thinking to myself as I looked back at the guy and nodded at him.

"Promise."

The guy saluted me and got up and started walking away from both me and the house as he threw his cigarette at the ground and stepped over it.

I looked at the guy and the cigarette and got up, facing the guy. "Is there a reason why you made me promise that?"

The guy sighed and turned around. "Let's just say the ones who wait end up waiting for the one they love who doesn't love them back."

"Who said that?"

"Me, at least I think so. I just came up with it right now."

I nodded at him again saying, "Good luck."

He sighed one last time. "You too." Then he walked away and I was left to cope and figure out what just happened.
