Sophia stood staring at Tunde like he had suddenly turned into an animal. She couldn't believe what he just told her.
Tunde walked closer to her, and placed his hands on her shoulders.
"Sophia I know this is very difficult for you, but....."
"What is difficult?" She shrugged off his hands. "What are you talking about? What did you say happened to my mother?" Her breathing was already heavy, her nostrils flaring as she stared at Tunde, daring him to repeat what he just said.
"Sophia, your. Mother. Is Dead" he said with a resigned look on his face.
"You are joking right? No you have to be joking, you can't be serious, my mom can't be dead, I spoke with her just some few hours ago, is this some sort of April's fool or something?"
As she waited for him to answer, there was a knock on the door. She tried to ignore the knock, and concentrate on listening to what Tunde had to say.
Whoever was at the door kept knocking persistently.
