It has been one week since I turned everything was different now.
Kaden looked at her and giggled a little"You're kidding right?" he asked not wanting to believe the words she was saying.She shakes her head" My mom told me this morning she got a reporting job in New York and we are moving there next week.``she says. Kaden thought about it for a second " what if you moved in with my parents and I we could change the attic into a loft and we could be roommates' ' he says as he knew his parents would be perfectly fine with it. Carter looked"Wait really?'she asked KAdne nodded and called his parents asking if it was ok " they said its ok as long as your mom is ok with it" he says as she nodded " I'll talk to her after school then" she says and cheers up and starts driving them to school. After they get there and walk in, Kaden walks to his locker seeing a note drop as he went to pick it up. "What's a vampire council?" he asked, not knowing that vampires had a council. He then looked at the envelope then opened it " We sent you a little something as a welcome to the vampire world" it read. He was then tapped on the shoulder as he turned around to see who tapped him and he gasped"Victoria?"he asked as he looked at her.
Ahh yes Victoria my best friend since we were little. About three years ago Victoria and I were playing on the playground when someone who she didn't know came and picked her up. I told my parents that a strange person picked her up but they just thought I was kidding. About a week later the police found her dead body deep in the town's woods.But, the funeral was a closed casket so I always believed she was alive and clearly (like always) I was right.
"How are you alive? What happened? Why are you here?" he asked as he looked at her. She smiles " I've come to take you to the council. They would like to see you now." She said not answering any of his questions. Kaden nodded" I guess I'll see you at lunch" he told Carter as she nodded and went to go talk to their friends. Kaden looked at her "Lead the way" he says as she took him where there were no cameras and used a ring to teleport them both to the vampire council's Headquarters. Kaden walked over to the council who were varying in ages and just as he was about to speak he was interrupted by the eldest one" Kaden Carrington, the council has been watching you since before you turned and we decided you would be the perfect man for the job. A highly wanted hybrid in our world has been linked to a series of attacks in the human and the vampire world." he says and pauses." With all due respect what does that have to do with me?' he asked the man looking at him. The man looked" It's your old friend Antonio" they said.
Of course another surprise guest star on the Kaden Carrington show. "And behind door number two is…. Antonio. Your best friend all the way up until eighth grade when he told everyone you had a crush on Jace, the most popular kid no matter what grade he was in. " A.K.A the guy who forced you out of the closet. Not to mention the years of therapy mom and dad had to pay for because of the constant beat downs he would give you after he kissed you at your thirteenth sleepover even though you told him despite him outing you that you would tell no one.
"Ok and what do you want me to do about him?' he asked the council. They look and answer him" We want you to bring him in dead or alive whichever you prefer" the younger one said" you have one week to track down and deal with him or I will send David and Bruce after you" She said as they growled they were hybrids who were mainly werewolves. Kaden breathes" Fine" he said and looked at them" Can I go now?" he asked sassily as the council nodded. He then walked back to school resuming his day as if nothing had happened.
As the day came to an end Kaden walked to the car and got it not knowing how he was gonna find Antonio." Hey Carter, I need your help with something" he told her after he got in the car. She nodded and looked at him curiously" It depends on what it is" She said as she started up the car. Kaden looked at her and breathed slowly" The vampire council gave me an assignment to track down and bring in Antonio. What do you say to a little K and C team up?"He asked her as he looked. She smiles brightly " Where do we start?" she asked. Kaden looked at her and thought for a second" first we need a spell book to find a locator spell so we can find out where he is and we won't have to waste time searching for him. "He said as he looked at her. She smiles at him brightly "what about the library on eighth street?"She asked looking at him as well"let's go"he says as she drove them in that direction.It had been the first time they teamed up ever since the halloween incident of 2018. Once they got to the old library they both got out as he looked down at a piece of paper which told him how to get into the more exclusive library for "VIPS" only. As they walked in Kaden and Carter walked towards the back where no one could see them and Kaden pulled a book which then turned a bookcase into a secret entrance into a small room with a door at the end. As they walked towards the door Kaden felt an urge of power come over him. He went and opened the door "Woah" he said as they walked into a room with a series of doors which were labeled all kinds of things. The doors were surrounded by a series of books and he started looking around" We just need to find the right spell book, we don't want to go through the doors unless we absolutely have to" Kaden told Carter as she nodded in agreement. They then split up the room and started looking high and low. Kaden stopped and breathed concentrating on finding Antonio as he held his hand out and a book came flying from the shelf and landed in his hand. "Found it" he told Carter as she nodded and walked over to him. HE opened the door and started flipping through the spells as he then used his powers to make candles and a map appear." I just have to cut my finger and drip the blood on the map and we have to concentrate on him long enough for the blood to tell us where he is."He told Carter. Carter nodded " Let's do this then" she said confident, the faster they took care of Antonio the faster the council would leave them alone and the safer they would be. Kaden lit the candles with a lighter then cut his hand dripping the blood on the map. He smiled as he took Carter's hand, his hand healing quickly. Kaden then cleared his mind only thinking of Antonio trying to think of happy thoughts if he could find any. He breathed as the candles started to flicker and it showed them where he was "The old toy factory on main street"Carter said . Kaden let go of her hand " Let's go" he said as Carter looked" If he is a hybrid like the council said we need a plan"She says thinking logically. Kaden smiles" I have a plan, go to the toy factory,find Antonio, kick his ass, and be home just in time for the new episode of Grey's Anatomy"he told Carter. "Lets at least take weapons, do you still have that bow staff and bow and arrow from our last team up?" She asked as they made their way out of there. Kaden smiles"Of course I do, let's go get them from my house" he says as Carter nodded and they started heading that way. As they got there kaden unlocked the door and slowly crept his way upstairs not knowing his parents were having a meeting in the kitchen with someone who he hadn't met before. He snuck Carter upstairs and opened a hidden compartment in his closet and grabbed a bag that had some weapons in it. He handed the bag to her and walked to the top of the stairs to eavesdrop on his parent's conversation."We have to tell him about his history sooner or later he's almost seventeen. We need to sit down with him and tell him everything, before he figures out on his own. Having powers at his age is hard trust me "The mom said "and if the prophecy is true he could be the most dangerous being in all of history"She said looking at kadens dad and the hooded figure" We need you to test to see if he has them.Go to our normal meeting place and wait for us there"She says. Kaden looked at Carter as they went back upstairs and snuck out the window with the bag."Most dangerous being of all history?"Carter asked " and how are they gonna test to see if you have the powers yet?"she asked him as kaden looked and breathed" I don't know yet but, let's just go get Antonio and be done with this"he told her as she nodded and soon enough they were at the Toy Factory. Kaden handed her the bow and quiver full of arrows and Kaden took the bow staff" ready?" he asked her as she smiled"Always "she said as they got out of the car and walked towards the door.As they got to the door kaden breathes then opened it seeing that it had two floors " I'll take the top floor" he says "text me if you see him" he told Carter as she nodded. He then walked towards the stairs that were by the door not knowing how prepared Antonio was for their arrival. As he walked through the first floor he saw a few men armed with guns. -be careful we have men with guns - he texted Carter as both their ringers were off. She nodded at the text then continued on as Kaden did. Kaden crept his way closer as he saw they had taken someone captive."Now guys did you parents not teach you that kidnapping is wrong?" he asked as they all aimed their guns at him"Aww cute" he said as he looked at them. Kaden smirked and turned then kicked and kicked one guy's gun out of his hand and grabbed him using him as a human shield as the rest shot at him shooting the guy. He got back being a beam as they all walked over and Kaden was gone. Kaden giggled as he dropped from the ceiling behind one guy and kicked his legs out from under him then stabbed him in the heart with his staff. "Come on can't this be a fair fight?" he asked the man as they shot at him. He used his shockwaves to boost him up above the bullets then kicked two down doing the splits in the air. He then used his powers to throw the last one out the window with his powers -found him- he texted Carter. Kaden walked over to the chair and untied the guy then took his hood off and just as he did Antonio kicked him across the room kaden hitting the top of the ceiling being knocked out. "Shit " Carter said as she knew she wouldn' be able to take down Antonio alone.She watched as Antonio carried Kadens body out of the toy factory and into a car she snapped his license plate then went to regroup quickly telling her friends to meet in the woods and that it was urgent. Kaden slowly started to wake up as he did he tried to move hearing chains dangling.`` Antonio!' he yelled as he was chained to the wall. He had no idea of the hell he was about to be put through.
