Only Nightmare was able to sleep on Gaya's lap, curling himself into a ball. They two were deep in thought. For Gaya, it was her mother. For Michael, it was Victoria and everything the thusians did to him. Every time he closed his eyes, he saw the burning sanctuary. He heard his friends scream only to get slaughtered by the thusian soldiers. Those soldiers didn't show any mercy, not even to the little ones. In Michael's mind, the elders weren't blameless either. They had a divine power source for centuries, yet they didn't even bother to use it. The Cosmic stream remained useless in the sanctuary. Michael decided long ago not to make the same mistakes the elders did. The moment he destroyed Thusia, he would absorb the Cosmic Stream, or if he couldn't, he would destroy it so no one could use it in the future.
