The whole family is gathered. Fanner with his bald head, tattoos and thick beard wearing a black bear cloak, black and red light armor over a green long shirt and black cloth pants. Walking with the one leg in a leather boot and the other a spring loaded mechanical prosthetic. Lija in hunters gear with a royal purple lightning bear cloak, grey hunter chest piece with straps for all her gear she would normally wear. She has on a short dress with a material similar to leggings on but thicker and just as flexible and topped off with white fur boots. Finally there is Inari. We have her in a eastern realm blue Hanfu, with a standard bear cloak on browns and blacks.
Fannar always looks imposing with his fiery Red and black beard like shadows and flame dancing across his face. Standing at 2.2 meters he is on the shorter side of earth clan men but his stature and aura make him seem as tall as the northern giants. Especially walking behind both Inari an eastern beauty, and Lija a 1.9 meter tall north woman with purple and black raven hair. She carries a free personality as though unbound by the chains of this world while Inari Echo's the elegance of an immortal fairy in her garden.
Floating between the two beauties is a little child who looks around 2 by the fact she's swinging back and fourth giggling as the two hold one arm each as though afraid her tiny feet might touch the ground. From the moment they left the forge Ylfa has been fascinated by everything around her. With the knowledge she as no idea how she knows but she recognizes nearly everything around her.
From the snow drifts, timbers and stone structures, as though she has lived her whole life surrounded by such things. She sees people busy everywhere, some look like hunters, others more like merchants but the vast majority all seem to be warriors. Big men with; axes, hammers, and swords as well as women in either chest wraps or armor carrying spears, swords and axes. It would appear more like a well developed fort instead of a town if it were not for all the houses and vender stalls.
The air smelt of pine and smoke, with the occasional roasted meat smell wafting through the streets. Ylfa having been born with cultivation has had a fairly low appetite her whole life. Most cultivators gradually lose the need to eat, whether it be body or qi cultivators by the time they reach the third realm in cultivation they no longer need to eat. The only exception to this is in restricted zones like the frost wastes of the north. Even though they don't have to eat if you smell something good enough it will likely stir a desire for food anyways.
Everyone has a weakness and Ylfa just happens to be a glutton for barbeque. This is a trait that carried through her reincarnation cycle.
"MEAT, MEAT, MEAT." Ylfa chants like a magic spell to summon the deliciousness. Her nose stuck up in the air sniffing like a blood hound and her ears tilting ever so slightly as though she will pin down the source any time now. Her family unable to deny her when she looks so cute with her bright green cat eyes all big giving the begging puppy look.
"Just one for now ok. Your still a bit young to be eating solid food." Lija says.
"But I has all my teef." Ylfa says back showing off all her pearly whites including the especially eye catching canines that look sharp enough to tear through stage two or three beast hide. Inari sighs.
"Just let her try maybe she will want to be a spiritual chef when she grows up." Inari says with a smile. Stopping near a stall selling small chunks of fire roasted meat skewers with a sauce on it. Fanner goes up and grabs a few skewers paying with a ice like stone the size of a silver dollar. Mommy Ina pics me up and feeds me one of the skewers one piece at a time as we keep walking to wherever momma wants to take us.
Taking the first bite of solid food I have ever had was sheer delight. My eyes closing in pleasure savoring the juicy tender morsels as my ears flop down lazily. It feels like a tension I didn't know I had slowly seeped out of my body as I enjoyed this sensation. All of this seemed to end to quickly not lasting as long as I wished as I continued to slowly finish the skewer.
Arriving at a large long hall with statues of Odin and Frigg on either side of doors big enough to allow a large frost giant to enter. We are greeted by acolyte or junior priest of the temple who seems to have expected us. He guides us to a side hall where we sit and wait for one of the high priestess. Everyone seems serious except Fanner, who keeps making me giggle by making faces at me. I really hope to spend more time with him once I can go out of the house.
A woman comes out wearing a simple sleeveless low cut dress. Her long curling golden hair is like summer wheat, adorned in gems she greets us with a smile and waves us to follow. Inari passes me to momma Lija and the giant parade proceeds.
We reach a stone room that somehow seems to have plants growing as though its spring along the walls. A statue of Frigg stands at the back towering over the whole room. Her face with a look of a mother adoring her children. Still remaining silent she gestures us to be seated.
"Priestess, our little Ylfa has developed quite fast though she is still so small. She can already run around like kids a couple years older than her. I was starting to teach her and during this time seems to have had a crippling headache accompanied by what may be a vision. Can you check her for us." Lija asks
"Sure, let me see this precious one." The priestess says. Reaching out and picking up Ylfa she looks at her closely. From the mesmerizing green eyes to the fluffy white ears this is definitely a rather unique einherjar for our clan to have she thinks to herself.
"Hi strange lady. You smell familiar," Ylfa says sniffing in her direction. This causes the priestess to have a strange look on her face. Do I smell funny or something she thinks to herself.
"Little Ylfa what happened today do you remember." She says.
"Mnm. Momma was telling me about things. When she said school my head hurt. Then I saw pictures I hadn't seen and knew things I didn't know." Ylfa says.
"Can I see them? You just have to close your eyes." she asks sweetly. Ylfa looks at her mom worried before her mom nods at her letting her know its ok.
"Sure Strange lady." Ylfa says. Then closing her eyes.
The priestess places her hand on Ylfa's head and begins to use the divine technique to delve into what knowledge and memories have been passed down. As the technique is completed the room turns pitch black without even a spec of light as though falling to the gap itself.
