Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 6 - Spread

"Is there any way I can help you with, ma'am?"

"I want this designer shoes, please." I scanned the white sneakers for the last time before I decided to finally gave it to the saleslady. I have been here for around two hours already. I was not able to decide what his favorite color is, or what type of shoes he would prefer. But the last time we went to the beach, his shoes was already damaged.

I know I promised myself I won't buy a shoe for him but my feet had its way on its own. It was too late for me to realized that I was already here.

"Do you have a customer card, ma'am?"

"Nope," why would I bring it? This shoe will be deducted to my dad's account. Isn't that great?

"How do you want this packed, ma'am? Wrapped or in a bag?" The saleslady kindly asked and I smiled courtly. I was able to observe her closely. She is very neat, clean and pretty. This could probably pass as Seven's girlfriend. Thinking of the idea of her wrapping the shoe or preparing it for Seven triggers something within me. Goodness gracious, what the heck?!

"I think that would be enough," she was about to prepare something like a paper bag or wrapper but I grabbed the box already. "This would do! I wouldn't mind this sealed. Bye!"

I did not wait for her response. I paved my way out of the store and brisk-walk my way towards a stall where my favorite shawarma is located. Actually, I was having a bad time just before I left the house this morning. This is suppose to be our date but since he was doing something, something he did not bother to tell, I have no choice but to be here.

I understand if he does not want to be with me today.

I also realized, sometimes, women need to distance their selves to be missed. Being with them always, or clinging with them every minute might suffocate their hell out. That's what a famous magazine said when I read that this morning about healthy love facts for long lasting relationship.

Mirth was busy, too. She said she was out of town. So I do not have a choice but to spend the rest of the day strolling, eating, killing the time. Gawd, this is too boring! But ever since I was with Seven, spending time with other people seemed unwanted and dull. I just want it all for him.

It hasn't been the same.

"Achaia?"

I was about to eat the food but the shawarma left on mid-air as I've seen one of the most famous person at school. Jaxon. The meanie hottie of the campus but of course, with a beautiful blondie.

"What are you doing here?" He probably can't believe I'll be alone in this afternoon. He slowly slid down his hand from his pocket after putting it around the blondie's shoulder. She rolled her eyes and put her arms together over her shown chest.

"What the hell, Jax?" She had a fair complexion, face covered with make-up. I've noticed the caky side of her head. Probably too much of the foundation she's using or lack of blending skills, I don't know. And why would I bother myself thinking about that?

"Sorry, babe. I've got my date now. I bet you can leave me here." Jaxx gestured to push her away but she clung to his arms like a gecko. Jax face twitched. Looks like someone is in a dilemma.

My eyes widened in this belief. That quick?! I smirked. The audacity of this jerk to do that to someone is so strong I want to punch him on the face. Well, it's not new to me anyway.

"But you said we'll be heading out of town?" The girl is so petite yet her chest over there is quiet big. Probably, Jaxon's type.

"That was when I met someone prettier than you."

I rolled my eyes. I was about to put the food on my mouth again but it stopped, for the second time, in mid-air.

"Seriously?! I'm prettier than her, you see! She just a hoe on the loose trying to act beautiful outside but still, she's the same as her mother." Her face contorted.

"You might just wanna see a ophthalmologist for that, babe." He shrugged and act coolly.

Before things could heat up, I need to butt in. I don't want to be dragged into this most especially if I am connected to that useless mother of mine. Achaia with Mother is unacceptable, without Mother, she is extraordinary.

"Jaxx, I just want to be alone. It's rude of you to leave here like that. She's your date." And my high heeled sandals start to hurt me. I was here for five hours already. I want to rest and enjoy this shawarma before it gets cold. "Come on." He was still hesitant to leave me. "Plus, I won't spend my time spreading my legs for you. She might probably will. So, you both need to go."

"Really?!" Jax tone's full of disbelief. He probably can't believe I turned him low-key. But the idea that her legs will open for him didn't bother him. He already knew.

He knew women too well.

Well, your the man but I've got the power.

"Bitch, just give thanks to all the saints I'm no mood for your catfights." The blondie responded. I don't know where did Jaxx picked this woman up. I've never seen her at school. She didn't know me enough to shut her beautiful mouth up.

I shrugged. The heck I care? My time is precious. My shawarma is precious. All I need is for both of them to get out of my sight. As soon as possible.

"Let's go. Don't be hard-headed," she pulled him while disbelief is still evident on his face.

Poor, Jaxx. He's been courting me for quiet a while now but sorry to say, he doesn't have a special place in my heart. All I see is a boy trying to act like a grown up but still ended in baby care anyway.

I smiled wildly when Jaxx gave a 'given up' sigh. My heart was giddy when they left. I rent a ticket to watch a movie alone. A lot of boys ogled and check out on me. Sometimes, their girlfriends slapped them when they stared too long. I can't help them, I was wearing ruffled rust sleeveless top paired with a white denim skirt emphasizing my delicate legs. I paired it with a Jimmy Choo white pumps. I'm on kills!

The afternoon movie went well. I was full and I enjoyed my alone-time. I prepared to go home so that I can change and give the shoe to Seven. I was hugging the box this whole time.

We'll meet tonight at Bar Fintxos for dinner. I need to look good. So, I better head home now. I don't wanna be late but not early either. According to the tip I have read, when on a date, don't be too early and don't be too late. Being early might give them an idea that you want the date so bad. Being on late, like thirty-minute late won't give you a good impression to them. It should be enough. Like a five-minute or three-minute arrival after him would be fine.

Actually, I really don't care. Being there three-minute after his arrival still means I need to be there already. The difference is that he just won't be able to see me first. I will. But, heck, whatever!

On my way, I sang along with the song on my stereo. Banging my head, drumming the steering wheel, grooving along. I was startled when a car swiftly passed by our cars almost collide. I almost felt my spirit come out of my body for a sec because of that.

"What the hell?!"

"Hey beautiful!" An unknown ugly creature appeared out of the car's window. He was smiling like crazy looking like a goon from an action movie. He was young and rugged. Everything about him screamed arrogance and danger.

I gave him the 'sign' and he laughed.

"Whohooo! Feisty! I love that. Why don't we stopped over at a hotel and have a great time?"

I rolled my eyes. Of all days? Why does he have to select today while I'm having the best alone-time of my life? This jerk will definitely pay for ruining my day. I want to scream fck off, but I've known boys for a long time. And guys like this? The more you push them away, the more they cling to you like that blondie at the mall. Like a hungry gecko.

"Come on!" He yelled still his smile evident on his face.

An idea strucked me and smiled at him sweetly.

"Fine!"

"Woowwww! I badly wanna bang you right now!"

"Yeah?" Eww. The idea just sent shivers down to my spine. Ewwity to the highest level!

"But if only you win this race." I wouldn't let this man ruin my day. I'll just convert this incident into something fruitful. "If you win, I'll stop and if you lose, you'll leave me alone."

My throat's already aching due to yelling. It's hard talking to some jerk while driving. He'll pay for this, I'll make sure of that.

"That sounds badass, I like it! But are you sure with that?"

"Unless you're afraid," I winked at him and accelerated my phase.

"Whoa, you're really serious with that, huh?"

Heck, yeah. My life depended on it. I don't want Jaxx, you, or any one except Seven wasting my time. Period.

Plus, in case this ugly man didn't know...

Once upon a time I was a gold medal winner for teen cup Car Racing League. It was a division for girls and boys.

I'm sure as hell I won't be able to see his face again.

I promised him that.

"
