When Hansul finished the last silence, the room got completely quiet, not even a tiniest amount of sound could be heard. Everyone was deep in thought, probably trying to piece the information together. Daechul furrowed his eyebrows, trying to make sense of Hansul's story, which at that moment seemed false and too far-fetched for it to be true.
Hansul turned his gaze from one person to another, getting unsettled by the silence and lack of communication.
"Why are you all silent? Who the hell is this Geun? Does he really work for you?"
Daechul sighed, turning to face Hansul dead on.
"That's the thing. I'm not familiar with any Geuns, and they certainly don't work for me."
After Daechul's bold declaration Hansul's face could barely contain confusion.
"Hansul, do you know that man?", asked Kimoon with a frown in his face, obviously still angry at the man.
Hansul shook his head.
"Geun never attended our meetings, and Chungee had never mentioned him before. The first time that I heard something about him is today. If Daechul doesn't know who he is, then I am just as appalled. I thought that when we met up, Daechul would organise a meeting with him too or something", Hansul shrugged his shoulders.
Daechul pinched the bridge of his nose, trying to not lose, but it was hard to control himself. The valuable information that Hansul was supposed to share, turned to be nothing but complete bullshit, things not adding up and messing the situation even more. The man tried to think of any Geuns that he knew, and unfortunately fell short.
Then he turned to Sunmi and Jongil.
"Do you think you can dig some of your sources and find any information, concerning this mystery man?"
The girl nodded, immediately fishing her phone and standing up. Jongil voiced his agreement and was gone the next second.
"I'll try. I will call you in the evening, alright?"
Daechul hummed with a grateful smile.
Sunmi turned to the boys, bid them goodbye with a smile, and disappeared.
When the detective was gone, Daechul turned to Kimoon and Eunsang.
"Try to go around the city and ask around. Mention my name, because that should make them talk. Be discreet, do not tell anyone the reason why you are asking."
Both men nodded.
Satisfied, Daechul found three gazes boring right at him.
Ilsung was about to open his mouth when Daechul silenced his protests with a flick of a hand.
"I knew you would want to be included, Ilsung," everyone chuckled,"you three can go with Kimoon and Eunsang, just split into two groups to attract less attention. Both Kimoon and Eunsang know all the places in Seoul, where the shadiest of people gather, so they will drive."
Everyone nodded and got up, heading out to do their job as soon as possible.
Then the only people left in the room were Daechul and Hansul.
"I know what you are thinking right now", after a few tense minutes of silence spoke Hansul.
Daechul raised his eyebrows in mock interest.
"Do you really? You don't know me at all, Hansul."
The nodded.
"Yes, but I can guess."
Daechul shrugged, urging Hansul to continue.
"You are thinking about how I shared some false information to set you up or something, and debate whether to kill me or to protect Minsoo from heartbreak and spare me."
Daechul narrowed his eyes, clearly not ecstatic that the man brought the pinkette.
"Leave Minsoo out of this conversation, Hansul."
The gang leader was hoping that his furious expression would be enough to silence the man, but he was proven wrong when Hansul spoke again, a look of wonder on his face.
"Oh my god. You two are fucking, aren't you? That's why you are so protective of him. I noticed that yesterday, but now it really makes sense."
Daechul harshy banged his fist on the table to shut Hansul up.
"Enough! That is not your business by any means. And if I hear Minsoo's name again, I won't hesitate to make you shut up, Hansul. Don't fucking test me."
Hansul gulped, finally falling silent.
Daechul took a few calming breaths to slow his erratic heartbeat and to stay calm. When his heart rate slowed down, he found Hansul's eyes again.
"Your job stays the same. Try to find out as much as possible about that man. Stay out of trouble", Daechul instructed coldly, not at all in the mood to look at Hansul a minute longer, still frustrated about him failing to mind his own business. Daechul hoped that the man would learn when to shut up, otherwise his destiny didn't look that great. Someone was bound to put a bullet through his head sooner or later.
Hansul nodded, wordlessly standing up and stepping out of the room, leaving Daechul with his own thoughts.
He poured himself one more glass of whiskey, leaning back on his chair and turning to look at the forest through the massive window. The man racked his brain, trying to piece the information together, but wasn't successful. As he thought about that name, Geun, Daechul could swear he heard it before, but the context was left unknown. This made the man even more frustrated, knowing that without more details they couldn't proceed with their plans. His only hope was Sunmi and the boys. Hopefully they would find out more information that would help them uncover the mystery that was Geun. How was he related to Daechul? The man was not in the mood to play any guessing games, he was impatient in nature, and that clearly showed right now, as he tried to think of anything that could be of help with a frustration painted on his face.
Eventually, his thoughts involuntarily strayed to a certain pink haired boy. Daechul wondered if he was still asleep or already awake, if he felt like shit because of how much he drank or if he was one of those people to get away without suffering a hangover. His pants got a little too tight as he remembered how pretty he sounded with Daechul on top of him. How his skin glistened and how pretty and pink his cheeks turned. His soft, tousled hair and delicious smell.
Daechul shook his head furiously, angry at himself for being whipped.
Get ahold of yourself you pervert.
The man finished the last drop of the alcohol and decided to head to the Go mansion and check the progress that the cleaners made. He stood up from his chair, collected his phone, keys and cigarettes and was out of the room.

When the man parked his car in the driveway and killed the engine, he found that the property was full with people with white and blue uniforms, meticulously picking up the leftover trash and steam cleaning the paths to the house. The outside of the mansion looked almost perfect. Little to no trash and bodily fluids that still needed to be taken care of, but otherwise, Daechul was satisfied with the work of the brigade that Daechul seeked for.
He decided to go inside and foresee the results there, when a shrill scream sounded somewhere in the house, suspiciously sounding like his mother's. Daechul groaned, not in the mood for Maya's scolding. Either way, he sighed, deciding to get this over with and stepped in, immediately heading to the second floor, as his intuition told him Maya was mourning the master bedroom.
Daechul's suspicions were correct, when he got to the room and found his mother as white as a paper, looking at the mess that was this room.
It seemed as if the cleaning team chose to leave this space for last. The glass and other broken pieces were gone, but the room still looked horrible, with a broken bed and bloodstains on the ground.
"Mom?"
Maya whipped her head into her son's direction. Her facial expression was not welcoming at all. In fact, the woman was visibly shocked and angry.
"Hyun Daechul, what in the god's name happened to my room?", she asked, narrowing her eyes.
"Mom, look, the people will clean it and-"
Maya was in no mood to listen to excuses and interrupted her son.
"I don't need you to justify yourself. I want to know what happened."
Daechul sighed for the nth time that day, opting to just tell his mother the cause of the mess in the bedroom to shut her up.
He informed her about the fight that took place mere hours ago and how it all ended, with both men in the cells.
Maya was silent for a moment, observing the mess, being careful not to step into anything with her clicking high heels.
"Okay", she finally uttered and turned to leave, as if no longer having any interest in staying there a minute longer.
Daechul left the room too, going after his mother.
As it turns out, Maya parked her car near the backdoor of the house, just as Daechul did when they arrived at the party, and that's why he had no idea that his mother was there.
She opened her car door and sat in the driver's seat.
"I hope this is the last time something like this happens in my home, Daechul", Maya calmly said and pushed the ignition button. The car rumbled to life.
Daechul nodded, closing the door and stepping back, letting his mother to drive away.
When she was gone he cursed and decided that it was time to leave. He was not interested to stay any longer than necessary.
The man found one of the cleaners and made the promise to call when they were finished. The woman nodded with a smile and went back to work.
Then Daechul was gone too.
