Chapter 9 - After 9 years!

Yoon Shik used to wake up early in the morning and then studied for a few hours before leaving for his workplace. Almost nine years passed like this. Yoon Shik is grown up into a fully handsome man. His sister Hani is also grown to be a beautiful woman. Jang Shiwo has gained old age but still didn't leave his profession to treat the patients.

On one fine day Yoon Shik reached his workplace and started dusting the tables there. "Yoon Shik, Yoon Shik," shouted Baek Chun. Yoon Shik put the cloth there and went to Baek Chun. "Why are you shouting my name?" asked Yoon.

Baek Chun got up from the wooden chair. "Jangmi has received some work. I mean the work related to translating Chinese to the general language of our kingdom. He will give you a good amount for that." Baek Chun then started talking with the customer who was paying him for the meals he had there.

Baek put the money in a wooden box and then turned to Yoon. "Ahjussi Jangmi nags a lot. Last time when I did the translation he took out mistakes in every single line. Not only that he paid me less. He's such a clever businessman," stated Yoon Shik.

"He will not do that. Go to him. He really needs a translator," requested Baek Chun. "Ahhhh, I see. Then I'll demand more money from him. If he will not give me then you have to pay," said Yoon with a smile.

Baek Chun nodded and told him to go to the bookstore. Yoon nodded and left from there. He was going towards the bookstore when a few upperclassmen stood in front of him. Yoon Shik went sideways thinking they might have wanted to go the same way when among them called his name. Hearing his name Yoon Shik stopped and turned to look at him.

"Yes. What do you want?" Yoon asked, looking at the man.

The man gave a slight laugh. "You are again forgetting to bow in front of me and my upper class men fellows'. 9 years have passed and you have not learnt the manners." Yoon Shik smiled hearing this. "You must be Sung Tae. Well, Why should I bow in front of you? I guess you are not that respected that is why no one is bowing in front of you," asserted Yoon Shik, looking around and then smirked.

"How dare you say such words to the kingdom's prime minister's son?" Chan Sul angrily questioned from Yoon.

"Anger does not suit people who have high intellectual. Sung Tae, you do not need to tell me what is your father because it does not matter to me," saying this Yoon Shik walked away from there leaving behind Sung Tae and his fellows.

Yoon Shik was walking as quick as he could towards Do Yeong's house. "They are here, it means Do Yeong has also returned. He will scold me if I will not go there," murmuring this Yoon reached the residential area. No one stopped him because rules were also changed five years ago where laymen can enter the upperclassmen residential region asking for help or other stuff.

Yoon Shik reached in front of Do Yeong's house. He quickly climbed the stairs and asked the guards standing outside the gate if he could meet Do Yeong.

"Sorry, young master has not returned yet," replied one of the guards. Hearing this Yoon's facial expression was changed. "Then when will he return?" asked Yoon Shik.

"We do not know," answered the guard. Yoon sighed, climbed down the stairs and with a sad face left for the bookstore. Reaching the bookstore he asked Jangmi about the work.

"These four books you've to translate in two days. I'll give you 50 silver coins," stated Jangmi.

Yoon Shik smiled hearing this and asked, "How much are you getting?"

"Not more," vaguely replied Jangmi. Yoon Shik started laughing and said, "Ahjussi, I know you better than anyone here. I need 80 silver coins, else keep them with you." Yoon Shik put the books on the table there.

"Ahh, okay okay. Here take this, 40 silver coins pouch. Rest I will give you when you will complete the work," stated Jangmi and put the money pouch in Yoon Shik's hand. Yoon thanked him and was ready to leave when he heard the conversation or two men there in the bookstore.

"After a week, there is a civil services exam. Level is keep on increasing every year. My senior brother is also sitting again for this exam. This is his third attempt," murmured the man who was in his 20s.

"Indeed, it is tough. I do not know what will happen to me. Senior brother studies a lot still he is not getting qualified. How are we supposed to qualify that?" asked the other. Jangmi was looking at Yoon Shik who was listening to their conversation.

"Yoon Shik, what about you? Since the level is keep on increasing so do you think you can make it?" asked Jangmi. Yoon Shik turned to look at him and said, "I know I will make it. Why should I listen to other stories? Every person's perspective is different. Well, see you later Ahjussi. I will send the work soon." Saying this Yoon Shik left the bookstore.

Hani and Bon Hwa were inside the restaurant of Baek Chun, eating dumplings. "Rice wine? Orabani will kill me if I tried that again," mumbled Hani. "Yoon oppa never scolded you. He's such a lovely big brother," murmured Bon Hwa and sipped the drink.

"Yes, my brother is the best brother in this world," said Hani with a smile. Bon Hwa put her hand under her chin. "My brother is nothing like your brother. He always remains busy in his works," murmured Bon Hwa.

"Your brother started working? When? " asked Hani questionably.

"Nah, not that work. I mean he usually prefers going with his friends rather than being with me. He loves chaos and is always ready to look into those matters. One more thing he usually goes to the tea house to hear every kind of gossip," stated Bon Hwa and sighed.

Hani, who was eating dumplings, got up from her seat and said, "Let's go then and teach him a good lesson." Bon Hwa was unable to understand Hani and asked her what she meant.

"I mean let's go to the tea house. We will teach him a good lesson," said Hani and smiled.

Bon Hwa's facial expressions changed hearing this. "Do not even think about that. It will not be good if we go there. That place is not for us. Indeed women go there but Orabani told me not to step ever there. Orabani will kill me if he will see me there," muttered Bon Hwa.

"Why?" asked Hani.

"Hey, usually men go there. If anyone will see me there then I'm telling you, that would be my last time out of my house," stated Bon Hwa.

"Then I will go there. You will wait for me here. Moreover you should not be afraid of your brother. He should know that his little sister wants to go out with her brother," Hani told Bon who hearing this said, "Well, you are saying right. I am coming with you. But we have to hide our faces so that no one can recognize us."

"That tea house has girls as the server. I will take one of those girls get ups and then I will give Sunwo oppa a tea full of spices. Hahaha it will be fun," said Hani while laughing.

"Right and we will not be caught by them," muttered Bon Hwa. Both the girls smiled and were ready to leave for the tea house when Baek Chun came In front of them.

"Ahjussi," murmured Hani.

Baek Chun was holding a small notebook in his hand. He looked at the page and said, "you've to give me 500 coins for the past one year."

"500 coins?? I did not owe you this much money," murmured Hani.

"Haha, oh really. I've recorded every single thing you have eaten here. I will tell Yoon Shik about this if you will not pay me tomorrow," stated Baek Chun.

"Tomorrow? At least wait for a week. Why to tell Orabani? He has nothing to do with this," asserted Hani.

"I know that is why I did not tell him about your debt for a year," said Baek Chun.

"Ahh oldie, here take this money pouch. 300 coins I'm giving you and 200 I'll pay you later," stated Hani. Baek Chun looked at Hani in surprise and asked, "you have money with you?"

"We are in a hurry. I will talk to you later," said Hani and left from there with Bon Hwa. Baek Chun opened the pouch and saw the coins. "She is quite clever unlike her brother. Yoon Shik is such a good boy. Never once called me oldie," murmured Baek Chun when a customer called him as he had to pay for the food.
