Ch-248
Eleanor kept the back of her hand on her mouth as she swallowed back her sob. Her mother experienced many things that any woman wouldn't experience. Yet she was there cursing her and hating her.
She left her two children feeling guilty. Eleanor felt that her mother was stupid. If she had said the truth to her husband she wouldn't have to go through this much suffering. They would have been a family of four. There wouldn't have been any Anthony Thorne Hallard in their lives. If she thought about the things rationally, her mother was the root cause of their suffering knowingly or unknowingly.
Didn't they say her mother was a smart woman? But why did she behave this stupidly? She wondered.
