Chapter 15 - Across the plains of time and space

Meanwhile in a parallel universe (1), Desre was busy seeking inspiration for her next post on 'Humanities Voice' (a social media platform where people posted all sorts of stuff ranging from casual posts, rants, conspiracies, and fanboying).

As an upcoming tech reviewer, known online as "Todays Tech Breaks", there was always a lot to cover and a lot of research that needed doing. Unlike the bigger influencers, who would get sponsored behind scenes to say a few sweet words, without taking about 'touchy areas' and who did not care about the experience felt by the average person. Desre really did care and made comprehensive points in articles highlighting the pros and cons of various devices.

Of course, no one device is the best. There are areas where one is better than the other- so fanboys that ask stupid questions like "is my X device better than Y device", just to undermine someone who used that device, usually got on her nerves.

Anyhow, today was the launch of the new 'Vega III Pro' handheld by Ponytech. It was the underdog of handhelds, it was not a mainstream brand but valued it's consumers the most offering a 3.5mm connection, had no cut-out or notches, offered front facing stereo speakers, expandable storage and the whole works including a charger in the box. Only a few brand loyalists and techies were interested in the device though.

Everyone else just picked the devices released by Pineapple Inc, which were overpriced and cut out on features to make good dough and cook a pizza.

Which was one of the companies to be discussed in this post, as there were many angles to her current article. The Vega III Pro was one of few devices produced ethically without any dubious labour practices. It also offered truly ground-breaking features such as a 4K 120Hz display, had a real diamond embedded in the notification LED, had a side mounted fingerprint scanner, true front facing stereo speakers, many manual controls and other professional features exclusive to this device.

The only problem was that Ponytech were very poor at marketing and did not invest heavily into it, which meant they didn't sell well despite being highly innovative.

So this was going to be another long night with lots to type up and with the hands on device capture a few sample images to compare to the more 'popular' devices.
