It hurt. Lumielle thought quietly, the sensation of Viria's boot slamming down into her leg as she begged. Hands rubbing together in a silent plea for her to stop. Cheeks were bright red, aching as Viria grabbed her lavender hair by the ends, forcing her to stand up from her pitiful position.

"I-I'm sorry," Lumielle whimpered, her words messy. Tears streamed down her face, bright halcyon eyes showing nothing but fear as the younger woman sneered at her. "If you tell Evangeline one more time, I'll make sure that you can't walk," she spat out. Dropping the young girl to the ground as Lumielle whimpered quietly to herself.

"I'm sorry," Lumielle whispered again. The cold ground feeling oddly soothing as she heard the clatter of her heels in the distance.

Hair amiss and bruises on her body, her father ignored it. Simply brushing away his young daughter. She remembered his cold eyes looking down at her, uselessly staring at the female as if she was a nuisance.
