"What are the two of you talking about?" Reginald asked before opening the beautiful ornate box. It was a lovely box. The craftsmanship must have taken weeks but the inside product was even more beautiful. It was a golden sword, the hilt and the blade almost glowing as if it was the heir of the sun's rays. It matched Aristele perfectly. Her eyes softened.
Despite their fight, Lumielle still loved him.
Lumielle still wanted to give him everything. She wanted to fill the void in his heart. She knew that it was there. A wound that her father had created.
"It's beautiful."
It was a true compliment as Allard also nodded. The sword by his own side almost dimmed in comparison. Lumielle's eyes wandered to his blade. Her eyes hardened. She remembered being on the other end of the blade on multiple occasions.
