Chapter 15 - Chapter 15

Her eyes widened as she saw him and she started moving frantically, almost as if she was warning him. Her muffled screams echoed in the room as tears began to form in her eyes, were the ones of relief? Fear? Pain? Avecii decided he would ask her after all this was done and apologize profusely.

"Mia…" Avecii's voice bounced between the wall in front to the stairs over and over again, getting quieter with each bounce.

He quickly moved towards her and untied her, loosening the cloth around her mouth as she leapt on him, squeezing him so tightly Avecii started going blue. She eventually let go and Avecii gasped for air, before wiping her tears and his own.

"Avecii, you have to get out of here! This is a-" Mia was cut off.

"Mia, are you ok? Did they do anything to you?" Avecii said quickly.

"Yeah, I'm fine, all they did was tie me up, but that's not important you NEED to get out of here he's not a-" Mia insisted before being cut off again.

"Stay close to me, right now the others are thinning out the pack upstairs, once we get up there it'll be hard to keep track of whose where." Avecii explained.

"LISTEN AVECII!!!" Mia said, grabbing his collar.

Avecii froze.

"He's HERE, the boss is here!" Mia glared into his eyes.

"You haven't aged a day Avecii!" echoed a maniacal voice as if on cue.

Avecii let out a slow breath, holding Mia's hands as they slowly let go of his collar. Part of him felt relieved this wasn't the actions of an old friend of his, but the other part grew sorrowful as this confirmed the news he had heard two years ago.

"So it is true… Dante is dead..." Avecii said slowly as he touched Mia's hand and the two slowly got up.

"Quite unfortunate… really… he had so much potential! HI! HI! HI!" He laughed.

"You know you should really do something about that laugh of yours… Amo" Avecii smiled.

"SHUT UP!!" He exploded.

"Why don't you show yourself Amo!" Shouted Avecii.

As Avecii's words had finished echoing the moonlight shifted from the center of the room to where the throne was revealing the man in the blood red suit.

"You like these?" He showed off his nails, "They're very hard to maintain."

"Mia, behind me." Avecii whispered.

"Why do this after waiting for such a long time... if you had just waited longer we would've disappeared completely from the record books." Avecii asked.

"Hmph," Amo dramatically touched his forehead, "isn't it obvious, with the legacy our two families have left behind the Spada family can never stand alone at the top."

"Unless they were to overcome that and establish a new legacy," he dramatically spread his arms out and threw his head up, "For that to happen the Scudi must go."

"God Dammit, " Avecii sighed while scratching his head, "So petty, though you were always like that."

"I prefer the word calculated." He smiled devilishly.

"Tell me what happened to Dante." Avecii asked.

"Now… who knows..." Amo smiled as he slowly got up.

Avecii disappeared from in front of Mia and Amo vanished from in front of the throne, in the blink of an eye they met in the middle. Amo swiped down with his right as Avecii unsheathes his blade and stopped the attack sending a powerful gust of wind through the room.

"The problem with can blades is that you can only have one!" Amo snickered as he swiped across Avecii's body with his left.

Avecii jumped back, feeling the claws scrape through his blazer, tearing the two buttons off. As the balls of his feet hit the ground he rebounded, while Amo was still recovering from the swipe.

"Colpo Tonante!" Avecii shouted as Amo raised his hands just in time.

Boom! The impact of the blade and the claws sent a shockwave through the basement. Amo struggled to keep his hands up, the shockwave was causing him to shiver and his muscles to weaken.

"Primo!" Amo shouted.

Avecii continued to push, not hearing what Amo had said. Suddenly there was a blur of motion to his right followed by a large fist coming out of the darkness. The attack drove into Avecii's shoulder, sending him flying into the pipes on the wall, denting them on impact.
