"Elle, your dad is here!" Mu Chenyan called out tentatively to get Raelle's attention whose attention was completely on the book in her hands. This was really not a situation she expected when she suggested Raelle to check out the library.
She just wanted Raelle to do something she enjoyed while others were having fun with their own things. Who knew they'd get into this situation right now?
"Okay," replied Raelle without lifting her head or moving her eyes.
"Didn't you have something important to talk to him about?"
"He is here. We can talk later," said Raelle.
Mu Chenyan rubbed her temples and left dejectedly. When faced with curious eyes waiting for her outside, she shook her head, "She didn't even lift her head to look at me."
