Synopsis
I don’t remember how it started but it did. It was a fine morning and I woke up to notifications repeatedly coming from my phone. I was used to it now. It had been 2 weeks since the dating rumour and the George Floyd rumour. The notifications sort of became my alarm. I sighed and silenced my phone and went to the bathroom to get ready for the day. As usual, I wore something that would make me blend in. I looked in front of the mirror and make sure I had everything on. 1: Sweater ✔︎ 2: Short Skirt ✔︎ 3: Timberlands ✔︎ 4: Cross-over purse ✔︎ 5: Beanie ✔︎ 6: Glasses ✔︎ I checked that everything was in place before I left the house. Surprisingly, I blended in really well and no one even looked at me. Everything was going well, until I was suddenly surrounded by a mob of people. I looked around and there was so many people starting to crowd me. I was confused until I saw the signs. “#JUSTICEFORGEORGEFLOYD” “KIM EUNJI DOESN’T DESERVE MARK LEE” “#EUNJI&MARKSHOULDBREAKUP” My mind was spiralling. I didn’t know what to look at. I was losing control with the loud protesting, words everywhere, how close everyone was, and the camera flashes flicking as a picture of me was taken. I fainted in the middle of the street.

Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: sksksks

I walked out of the police station. I looked around and all I saw were flashing lights. I closed my eyes and rubbed them.

Someone tapped me on my shoulder and asked if I was willing to answer questions.

I waved no and covered my eyes while trying to get out of the crowd.

When I got to my car a mob of people had followed me and were taking pictures. I quickly got into my car and drove away.

The next day, I woke up to constant notifications coming from my phone. I looked at it and was surprised. Somehow people had gotten my number and were threatening me and hating on me.

I replied to every single one of them saying it was a misunderstanding. I knew they wouldn't want to understand or accept what I had supposedly done.

I sighed and got out of bed.

The notifications kept on coming and I was tired of the constant 'bing'. So, I silenced my phone and enjoyed an hour-long bath.

It was the afternoon and I was hurrying from a meeting to another lunch meeting. There were people following me and I had decided to walk earlier as it was a close walking distance. I hadn't realised that the news would have still been active.

I was wearing a hat, mask, a long sleeved shirt, wide pants, and sandals.

I quickly walked to the door of the restaurant, in which I was meant to have my meeting at, and I showed them my elite member card before they let me in. I was relieved and I quickly hurried over to the bathroom.

Once I was in, I locked myself into a stall and removed my shirt and pants, and wore a dress shirt and a knee-length dress skirt. I put it in the purse I had bought. I also switched my sandals for black heels. Then, I got out of the stall and stood I front of the mirror fixing my makeup, doing my hair and making sure my jewellery was still in place.

I got out of the stall and walked over to the table I was meant to meet some clients on.

They were already there. It was 1 female and 2 males.

I waved to them as I sat down.

"Hello. I am Kim Eunji."
