Chapter 14 - 14. I'm back (1)

Jennifer's actions that pulled Jason away just left Steven was outrageous and embarrassed him. What if Steven was suspicious of their relationship. Although the rumors of their closeness were already circulating in the company and the neighborhood, or maybe it's not new anymore. But that didn't mean everything can be spread at the wrong time like this. Today was his wife's funeral, not a celebratory feast. At least Jason and Jasmine had to keep up with the general public. Did not let this careless act of his lover actually be used by Steven to overthrow Jason as the leader of the Kyle group's company.

Steven just waved his hand dismissively as the two of them left. It didn't matter to him, this time he will let them both go. But not next time.

That day the funeral process was finished, but Akira did not show her nose at Kyle's house. Where did that girl actually go? Her existence seemed lost in the swallow of the earth.

Jason was still pacing back and forth in the living room of the Kyle's residence. He repeatedly stared at the home phone table and looked at his cellphone screen alternately, hoping that his naughty girl would call, or at least there was news from people who had been ordered by him to look for Akira since that night. He wanted to scolded and cursed at Akira at this time to vent his frustration.

Not a few guests who came to the funeral asked about her whereabouts. But Jason could only remained silent and pretended to be sad to attract their sympathy.

Jason wasn't really worried about Akira. It's up to the brat to go home or not. Although Jason didn't care about the death, of course later when all the treasures were perfectly in his grasp and all of that was just a matter of time. Everything Jason had done so far was just an image. because Kyle's close physical relatives and several important guests were coming to his residence to express their condolences for Jasmine's death.

Really not funny, right? If Jason looked so relaxed, while their daughter's whereabouts and her fate have been unknown since last night. It was impossible for him to have any fun with Jennifer right now, even though the beautiful woman had not moved an inch from his side.

Just a little Jason misbehaving, it will open up opportunities for Steven to knock him down.

One by one the guests came and went. Now only Jason, Jasmine and Steven Kyle were left in the residence.

"Jason, aren't you thinking of reporting the police for Akira's disappearance? I'm afraid something bad will happen to my niece." Steven said as he patted Jason's shoulder who was standing in front of him.

Jason turned and looked at Steven. He could see Steven's sneaky smile as if he was insulting him and cursing him as a father who didn't care for and looked after his daughter, so that his daughter ran away and didn't know the whereabouts.

But Jason had no other choice at the moment. He had to stay calm, even though he knew, that Steven had been trying to provoke him and make him emotional. It won't happen, it's useless for Steven to do it. Jason was a man who was very cunning, and good at manipulating circumstances. If not, he would not have succeeded in taking the seat of president of Kyle's company currently.

"I don't think it's the time yet. Akira might just sleep at her friend's house. I'll contact Akira's friends first. If that doesn't work, then I'll involve the police." Jason replied.

Jason then invited Steven to sit and chatted together and forgot about the Akira's problem for a moment.

Jennifer, who had been sitting quietly in the room, was very annoyed. Jason or Steven didn't seem to have considered her. Neither of the two of them had invited her to chat since earlier.

Jennifer was just like a statue that beautified the room nowadays. Seeing the two men in front of her with disgust and indifference. Even though she wanted to talk to Jason, she chose to keep quiet because there was still Steven nearby. It really would not be profitable for her, if the secret she had kept for years was exposed at the wrong time.

They were chatting so casually and as if nothing had happened. Suddenly there was someone's footsteps who came to the room. Someone they had been waiting for her arrival.

Clap ... clap ... clap ...

There was the sound of clapping hands together with her arrival. A girl stood straight in front of the three of them. Her voice was hoarse and her eyes were slightly puffy.

"Hmm ... Very good. My mother's dogs were feasting on her master's funeral." Akira said with a contemptuous smile.
