"Hey Presley. I was hoping to have a word with you?" A familiar deep voice awoken me from my thoughts.
"What is it you need Mercia?" I said setting aside the files then turning to face him. "Something doesn't add up to the fact that these two don't know the whereabouts of the bitch Zatara."
"Oh shut it with all the cursing and the pottential bickering." I snapped at him as I got up off the couch. I was a bit irritated with all the cursing and what's been happening the past couple of days so I didn't need anymore 'bad vibes'
Pfft, you're the one to talk.
I notice him spot the files and paperwork that was on the coffee table and I just glared at him to show him that he shouldn't pick it up and take a look at it. He gave me a smirk and I growled at him. "Don't dare." I said glaring at him.
"Now when do I listen to anyone?" He said then grabbed the files and paperwork. Classic Mercia. I just rolled my eyes at him and made my way to the bathroom to change.
I couldn't help but think about a bit of my own problems. One is the fact that my so called 'co worker' is on me, trying to find out who I realy am, or rather my 'secret business'.
"Yo Presley. You looking for Orozo?" Joshua said pulling me away from my thoughts. "Uh, its for the presinct. Already wanted in the NYPD and CCPD." I informed him as I walk out of the bathroom.
"Then this should be another win-win for the both of us." I looked at him confused as I don't know what he was talking about. "Ah right. We are also looking for Nicholas Orozo. He killed someone very, important to me and has had an opportunity to also steal something from me." He said uncomfortably. He's just staring at the files, specifically Orozo's.
"Hey, don't you have to find someone and interogate a certain person that stole a certain piece that is important to you?" I said grabbing the files form him and leading him to the door. "Right." He said glaring at me then rolled his eyes at me.
I went back to the couch and heard the elevator ding, knowing Joshua had gone done and did his work.
I'm thinking of just giving the Orozo case to someone else because of me looking for the girl Zatara, working on a way to stop James from getting in my business, and the fact that I have to help Joshua and his crew with the firearms and such and the Nathan situation.
But more importantly, I completely forgot about Margot today.
I hid the paperwork on my desk and made my way to find Margot.
At first I thought that finding her would be very easy, but clearly it wasn't. I started looking for her at the penthouse where I last saw her but she wasn't there. Then I checked the bar and she wasn't there. Knowing her, I would have expected her to be at the bar getting drunk. I knew she wouldn't even be near Joshua because he simply doesn't like women.
'Where the fuck are you Margarette?!' I complained under my breath. I was starting to get worried. I know sometimes I could be a little harsh on her, but I still think of her as the sister I never had. Or at least the sibling I never had.
"Hey have you seen Margarette? You know the girl that was with me?" I asked Charlie wh was eating at the restaurant area of the hotel. "I haven't even seen her since this morning at the penthouse. Did you check up there?"
"Yes Connerman. I checked the penthouse. In fact that was the first place I looked."
"What if she's with Joshua? I mean she clearly drools when she sees him." Charlie said taking a huge bite out of his burger. "God, you know that Joshua doesn't like women that way." I said rolling my eyes at him. "I'll go check back at the penthouse and see if she went back there." Charlie nodded and went back to devouring his food.
I went to the elevator and something slipped up in my mind regarding the Orozo case. I told myself that I would check the files again and then go back to looking for Margot.
I reached my hotel room and went to go grab the files and reviewed them again. I knew it, I missed something.
I stumbled upon this piece of brown paper which is a bit different from all the other papers from the file.
How the fuck did I miss this?!
I read threw it and it said that Orozo had a sister who was pronounced dead last week, though have never found the body.
There was a little piece of paper sticked to the back of this ripped off page and boy I wish I hadn't seen it.
It was a picture of both Orozo and Margarette naked.
