Inside Cassidy's head at that very moment, she thought that Adrian was probably Sonic the Hedgehog in his previous life.
She knew for sure that he was still a few good steps away from her when she looked back earlier. Yet before she knew it, he was already towering over her from behind, which threw her completely off guard.
