"Heller was here? So was this all a trick? Was he the one that spread the false information to reach Ian? Also the DNA that somehow led to Ian...when was it swapped? This shit about me being the Old Wolf can wait, I have bigger goals. I can't believe I got tricked like that though. I gotta' get my get-back (porch railing crushes)."
— I thought.
"Frei."
— Mother to I
"(Turns) ahh sorry, I let my emotions get the best of me. We need a fortified plan to take precautions against this Coven."
— I to Mother
"Ageed, does but I don't have any thoughts at the moment."
— The Old Man to Us
"Soooo, no one has an idea? (Outbursts) You're telling me we're sitting ducks!"
— Ian to Us
"What, you got some sorta' plan smart-ass?"
— I to Ian
"How about we lure them?"
— Mother to Us
"(Points finger) That's actually not a bad i-"
— Ian to Us
"Shut it. Let her speak."
— I to Ian
This was Scarlett's plan...
To lure the Basilisk Coven out of hiding, Scarlett suggesting them using a book— but not just any book —this was Oracle's Manuscript of Power. If the information is correct on the current status of the Basilisks Coven then this book should be enough to persuade them to come out the dark. If we make them believe they could get their hands on this book, the ones' in power should worry of how much authority they might lose.
Why is the book so important?
It was originally created by Basilisk's founder, Oracle. He was a deity in the past that infused the book with primordial magic, ancient magic that was long thought forgotten. The book is living- proof containing all information regarding the Basilisk Coven' history, a manuscript with precise instructions on how to further the Coven in the area of magic. But that's just the tip of the iceberg of what the book is actually capable of:
whether in the hands of good or evil.
The old man thought it was a solid plan, that they'd just need a the right bait to draw them out. And whose better than the last surviving member of Grimcrest.
"Yes, that should work. In their minds, they believed they've eradicated Grimcrests' existence but in fact...(all looks at Ian)"
— Scarlett
"Oh no."
— Ian
"Moving forward, Ian? How did you get to become a Grimcrest? As much you survived all that happened...that perplexes me. Since I was. Grimcrest before I must know."
— The Old Man to Ian
"The old man was a Grimcrest?"
— Scarlett & Freidich shared the same thought
"(Itches head) then you're my Elder, how funny. Funny story is...as I previously said before I was a lost cause, just like any other wolf out there right now in hiding. You see, I'm originally from a small village that was home to the White Pride..
'the White Prides...I've heard of them. Weren't they apart of the Immortal Phalanx?'
— The Old Man kept this thought to himself
Ian continued
"...a group of righteous and virtue, men and women who abided by the rules of the Immortal Phalanx; to not interfere with matters involving a pack other than themselves. That was how us packs lived in a time of peace right? Well, when he showed up that all changed, my village was burned to the ground. There was so much fire..so much, hearing their screams, running around like maniacs. I couldn't breath in it all and on the verge of passing out someone appeared to my rescue. He had no face, or I just couldn't see it but he wore a black suit."
— Ian to All
"Is this the phase where we enter your initiation?"
— The Old Man to Ian
"Yes, I was initiated in a dark room where I was branded, fuck with psychologically and so on and so on— I'd prefer to not get into those details."
— Ian to The Old Man
"No, that's enough. I've heard enough, to the point where I can say you weren't initiated the traditional way— under a full moon. You see, there are some things I withheld from you. It's obvious you now know that I was a Grimcrest but what I don't tell you was that I was also the right-hand man of the Old King."
— The Old Man to All
"Old Man, you can't be serious. Why..why keep such a thing to yourself?"
— I to The Old Man
"Because now I'm hoping my assumptions are right. I was always tormented and confused of the fall of the Immortal Phalanx. I was next to The Old King when it happened, right before his death. But with Ian's story I came up with a hunch. I believe there's something greater happening than we realize it. Think about, vampires infiltrating the Immortal Phalanx, ultimately causing its fall and thereafter began crawling there way back into this world. The vampires are the real enemy!"
— The Old Man to All
"Well, that escalated quickly. The situations is far bigger than I imagined. This wasn't just some incident, this was a very orchestrated plan by someone intelligent and experienced. Vampires...even here they still seek power...what more do they want?
— I to Myself
Now that the real enemies were revealed, it's up to this group of four to manufacture a strategy that will help in this foreshadowed battle. Question is...who will be victorious? The one said to have the Old King flowing through his veins or the one behind it all, the one true mastermind who no one seems to know.
And as Freidich stared at a full moon, you could say in a parallel world, at the same time the One Behind It was staring at a blood moon. These two souls would be fated to fight in the far future.
"Ohh dear Alpha, we'll see."
