Waking up today felt different, maybe it's because Seth didn't scream sing me awake but I have a sinking feeling in my stomach that it's more than that. In this past week, Izzy's been sleeping in my room every night, so maybe I'm just upset that she stayed in her room all night? Either way, as I dress for this Friday morning I know things are about to change and I'm terrified that it won't be good. I walk outside to my car in a daze, I'm too worried about this feeling to focus clearly. I barely make it out of the driveway before seeing a gray wolf poke it's head out of the woods staring straight at me. I slow down turning the car back into the drive and rushing out to the wolf.
"Paul you know not to come near the house like this! What's wrong with the pack?" He stares down at me before kneeling down on the ground indicating he wants me to climb onto his back. Climbing on I hold onto his neck fur tight as he sprints into the trees. We reach the Quileute land within minutes, as soon as I see Sam's house I jump off Paul's back. I walk right into the little house going to Sam immediately.
"Sam, what's wrong? You guys never come to my house phased."
As Emily rushes over checking me over; Sam turns upon hearing my voice with a look of relief on his face. "There's been a disturbance around your house. It looks like a cold one has been coming during the night."
Hearing this I laugh, "Seriously Samuel. I'm missing school because you believe in vampires? They don't exist, it's a Quileute legend. I can't skip school because you wolves are paranoid."
"Paisley I've told you before it's not a legend. The Cullens are dangerous."
I scoff, seeing his body start to shake, I slowly back away. "I think that's my cue to leave Sam, I have officially heard fucking everything."
Paul grabs my wrist looking at me worried, "Don't go today. I can't protect you at Forks High."
"Damnit Uley, now you have Paul scared for no fucking reason. You know I can't just skip; my dad is the Sheriff of Forks, he'll ground me for life." I look at Emily, "It was so good to see you again, I'll be back once they stop acting like children. Sam you have got to stop discriminating against the Cullens because of some old ass legend, it's pathetic and they've been nothing but kind to me."
I walk outside looking around for someone to drive me out of the Reservation when Billy comes walking out of his house using his cane, which means his leg is acting up again. "Uncle Billy! Could you give me a ride, Emily wanted to see if I was free this weekend but now I got to get to the school."
Billy chuckles, "Anything for my goddaughter. Climb on in the car, I wanted to visit your old man anyway. Your mother makes the best fish."
I smile wide hopping into the rabbit. "Oh I know she does, and it gets dad off of my back when I'm in trouble. Which I'll be in if I don't get to the school."
Billy nods starting the car and driving the few minutes it takes to the school. Once there I start to open the door when I hear Billy say something quietly. I turn my head smiling at the old man, "What was that Uncle?"
He smiles with a sad look in his eyes, "I said be careful papoose. I have a feeling things are about to change."
My eyes go wide, I've been feeling the same way, but I shake my head closing the door and walking away towards Izzy's beast of a truck. I hear a terrible screeching noise before I see it, Tyler Crowley's dark blue van comes skidding the opposite direction of me, tires locked in place spinning widely and heading straight toward the back corner of the rusted truck where Izzy was leaning reading her worn copy of Wuthering Heights.
I throw my bag down on the ground sprinting towards the truck screaming "Izzy" at the top of my lungs. I feel it get harder to breathe as the van collided with the truck, my eyes spill tears as my knees lock up and I plummet to the ground sobbing uncontrollably. It feels like I'm on the ground for hours assuming the worst when the sounds of sirens break through my bubble of sadness. I feel hands on each arm pulling me up, looking over to my left I see Rosalie. "Paisley it's ok, Isabella's fine. Emmett was right next to her and pulled her into the bed of the truck. Paramedics came for Tyler; let's go to my car and I'll drive you to see Isabella, she hit her head."
I wipe away my tears leaning into Rosalie, "Ok I just need to grab my bag," a hand comes from the right with my school bag hanging from its grip, "or not. Thank you, Alice." The girls lead me to the red BMW M3 Convertible and we drive over the speed limit to the hospital.
At the hospital, I run into the waiting room with the two girls behind me. Rosalie goes to the front desk asking about Izzy, once she finds out where the room is she leads me there. I rush in throwing myself onto the bed bombarding her with hugs. "Oh my god, Izzy! I thought you were killed, are you ok? I didn't see Emmett pull you out of the way. I'm so glad your boyfriend was in the truck bed."
Izzy sighs holding me closer as I start to cry again. "I'm fine Lee, all that got hit was the truck. But, Emmett wasn't at the truck with me. He was over with the rest of the Cullens. He got to me so fast, I don't think their human."
"Are you crazy Isabella, how hard did you hit your head?"
Izzy sits up giving me a serious look, "I'm not crazy Paisley. I know what I saw." Just before I can answer a pale blonde haired doctor walks in with a perfect white smile.
"So Miss. Swan," Dr. Cullen said in an angelic soothing voice. "How are you feeling?"
Izzy looks up away from me distracted by the handsome man, "I'm fine."
"Well, your x-rays look good," he said. "Does your head hurt? Emmett told me you hit it pretty hard."
"It's fine." Izzy contemplates her next words, "I'm just glad Emmett got to me so quickly, he was nowhere near me."
Dr. Cullens face hardens considerably, and I jump to fix her statement. "I wouldn't worry about her Doctor. Emmett was in the bed of the truck, she's just so traumatized she doesn't know what she saw. "
"In that case, take it easy today both of you. I suggest Isabella go home and rest."
I nod, "I'll make sure she stays at the house Doctor."
He smiles at me, "I'm sure your father can take care of your sister. If I remember correctly Paisley you have obligations with my sister; Rosalie won't be happy if you reschedule."
I jump up off the bed, "That's right. Sorry, Izzy, I gotta go talk to Rosalie. Dad's out in the hall waiting for you." I leave the room looking for Rosalie and Alice. Finding them down the hall I walk over. "We can go now, it looks like Izzy will be fine. I'm excited to spend the night with you." Rosalie and Alice smile leading me back out to the car; getting in we speed off down the road.

Papoose means child in the Native American culture. I use it here to show that the Quileute people have a different dialect and a different way of life. I don't know everything but I'm researching so I can accurately depict them. Thank you for being patient with me. I will try to get chapters of this out when I can.
