Chapter 218 - CHAPTER TWO HUNDRED AND SEVENTEEN

The jackass won't open his f**king mouth to cooperate with me, hence I got kept back, just trying to get a statement from him. I had to cancel his f**king court appearance and ended up, having to make a quick dash to collect the lunches I ordered for the family.

Justin and Cam tagged along with me since dad was at home ensuring everything ran smoothly.

With Clyde in lockup and and grandfather having instructed his men to stay back, I can feel a peace which, I sincerely hope it isn't a calm before a storm.

Clyde will remain in lockup until he starts to cooperate with us. I even explain that Jessica brought attention on herself and that's why there was a raid at his home, not for him but for the minor, Jessica Scott!

He says the only way he'll believe me is when he see grandfather personally, which is a no can do, right now.

Just as I thought Jamie was anxiously awaiting lunch and since I f**ked up yesterday and last night was a burst, I wanted, or more like I needed to come through for her today. After all, she did allow me to kiss her and she did kiss me back, which was a high for me.

Shaking her head with relief, "thank God you're here," mom sighs. "Jamie refuse to eat anything until you came with that." Mom added, smiling at the boxes of bar-b-que, the guys and I walked in with.

As we sat around the dining table, Jamie's face was down in the disposable box since she says, it taste better in the fast food boxes.

"So how was court today?" Dad and the guys are the only ones who knew about grandfather hiring me for his son's case and we know, Jamie will kick brass if she finds out.

"It's was postpone until tomorrow, I hope," I responded as I tackle my bar-b-que beef, since I missed breakfast.

Chuckling, "well that means more money, right?" Mom laughs, while dad and I stare curiously, at her.

"Have you been drinking?" I asked mom, now realizing how flush her face is.

Waving me off, mom points to dad. "We, have been drinking," she chuckles but I worry because mom only drinks when she is disturb about something.

Dad and I exchanged a brief glance before mom becomes aware that we are looking at her, unaware that my always curious wife was also staring at us.

"Is something bothering you?" Dad asks her while I froze in anticipation of her answer.

Shaking her head, mom continues to devour her lunch ignoring our concern glances in her direction.

Dad and I lifted our eyes to the soft knock on the door of the dining room.

Lifting any eyebrow, I wait for Bob to explain his reason for seeking us out.

"Boss, can I speak to you privately?" He asks, nodding to the corridor.

Shaking my head, "gimme a minute," I said to everyone who was actually focus on Bob needing a private moment with me.

Since he's in charge of grandfather, I expected to be summoned by the almighty Daniels, because of Clyde.

Picking up my beer and lunch, I followed Bob into the hallway, "he braying for you." Bob said. Shrugging, I went to follow him outside.

Chuckling I nod to the refrigerator, "bring a few beers" nodding to my filled hands as I lead the way across the lawn and unto the grounds where grandfather's being housed.

I kicked opened the door that was ajar with an grim expression.

"Can't a man eat a f**king lunch in peace?" I started making my way across to where he sat with his lunch spread out in front of him.

Putting down my lunch I dragged a chair closer to where he sat, picking at his bar-b-que.

Glaring at me, "is he home?" Grandfather got straight to the point, which is his reason for summoning me, in the middle of my lunch.

Chuckling dryly, I emptied down the beer, picking up another that Bob place beside be before walking out.

"Nope," I retorted. "the f**king as**ole refused to cooperate with me so I'll be there bright and early again tomorrow and the day after and the day after, until the jackass gets fed up of eating jail food." I smirked before attacking my lunch that was getting cold.

Nodding at his plate. "How's lunch?" I asked but he was staring at me angrily but unable to do anything about it, seeing that he is prisoner here.

"What did you tell your grandmother about me?" Grandfather asks, suddenly changing the topic to his legally wedded wife.

Lifting my brows with a surprise frown.

"Grandmother?" I repeated. Chuckling, "where did that come from?" I asked, since he never mentions her and was willing to move out of the Castle to live with my parents so that he could keep an eye on Jamie and manipulate Jessica.

Avoiding my eyes, he started picking at his food again.

I kept my eyes on him needing him to know that grandmother hates him just as much as his mistress and son hates her.

"She hopes you're dead somewhere, buried and already rotting." I responded, surprise to see his head jerked up, shocked.

Laughing, he shook his head in denial, "she would never say that," he contradicted me.

Laughing out loud, "did you think she would go to her grave waiting for an adulterous p**ck like you?" I mocked him, getting angry since this is the first time, he and I can discuss my grandmother, his estranged wife.

Grandfather stopped eating, his mouth hanging open as he struggles to speak.

"Although your mistress believes you're with grandmother," I enlightened him watching his crinkled eyes and forehead knit closer together as his eyes widen in disbelief.

"What did you do?" Grandfather asked as he froze in fear.

What the f**k is he afraid of?
