Logan was late in returning home but I saw him walking with a white box to the house where his grandfather is being housed.
He was only with him for about forty minutes by my count so when I saw him leaving, I logged off the security site and shifted the laptop away from me, when Jer barged into the sitting room.
Dragging two cushions from a sofa he threw it on the floor to sit in front of me.
"Jess just called," he enlighten me with a smirk.
Why is he so mysterious? Did he find out I used his instagram account to snoop into hers?
Not trusting myself to answer him, I smiled and nod but I'm not nervous about him finding out because it's not as if I liked any of her posts.
"Yeah," he smiled, leaving me to wonder why the hell did she call?
Rocking his entire body back and forth, "yeah," he said again while I wait for him to say more.
Much to my annoyance, he started with yeah, again!
I flung a cushion at him when he started with yeah before he burst out laughing.
"Yeah," blocking with his hands from a cushion I had aimed at his head.
"Jess was saying she met your husband at the bakery in the village," he said, actually getting a sentence out. "And he apparently cause Clyde to spill some blood," he chuckles, then throws himself on the floor erupting in laughter.
Gasping in shock, I frown at my brother.
What was so funny?
"Is that a joke?" I snapped at Jer who simply continued laughing.
Sitting up, he smiles at me and if I wasn't upset at my husband hitting the guy who tried to kill us but still, ended up killing Mr. Stanley, I would find it amusing.
I am disturb that Jer finds it funny, though!
Twerking my fingers at him, "speak faster because he's already home," I yelled, chuckling as he turns to stare at the open doorway.
Shrugging, he straightens up, "actually that's all I know or maybe all that she knows," he added as an afterthought. "Guess when Grey gets here, we'll be get full deats." Jer chuckles, keeping his eyes cautiously at the doorway.
I was just a bit edgy for Logan's arrival, as I pondered on Logan's and Clyde's meeting.
Was it accidental? Didn't Logan say he was suppose to meet his grandmother this afternoon?
Darn you Logan!
I don't need this right now, especially with the impending birth of our baby.
Logan strolled into the sitting room, tilting his head slightly staring at Jer and I, curiously.
"What happened?" Logan frowns, coming to sit on the daybed and begins stroking my hips and thighs.
I look at my brother and his sombre mood which is a vast difference from a few minutes ago, when he was laughing his ass off.
Jer looks at me but I had nothing to say since Jess called him.
Jer shrugs at Logan and I but remained silent although I am sure it's itching him to find out what really played out, with his best friend and his brother-in-law.
Smiling coyly at Jer, "actually we're hungry but we were waiting for you to have a family dinner." I laugh out at Jer's exasperated expression.
Logan frowns at the both of us, "am I missing something here?" He asks with a smirk, curling at the corner of his lips.
"Nope, we're just starving," I answer, laughing at Jer's ferocious glare.
"Jerome?" Logan frowns at him. "You good?" He asks, turning to smile at me.
Standing to his feet, "yeah," he answered Logan, "like she said, we're hungry." Taking up the cushions, he replaced it neatly where it belongs, then turns around with a smirk to give me the 'bird'.
Logan stopped me when I tried to move, "okay, what's with him and why are you provoking him?" Logan probed but I simply shrugged and moved to get of the daybed once again.
Jer and Justin sat beside each other at the dining table deep in conversation.
By the expression he wore, I knew he already got the 'deats' as he called it from Justin about what happened between Logan and Clyde.
Justin lifts his head and smiles as I hubble towards the dining table, my protruding stomach scaring me into thinking I might be having triplets instead.
"Leah!" Justin greets me cheerfully, lifting the beer bottle to the side of his empty dinner plate, "you look as ravishing as ever," he winks before taking a sip of his beer.
Taking the seat Logan pulls out for me, "thank you for your heartwarming compliment," I smile at Justin. "It's certainly makes my evening brighter." I added, laughing at the outrageous expression on Logan's face.
"Are you f**king kidding me?" Logan bellowed glaring at Justin, who just mocks him.
"Logan!" Mom yelled, "What did I tell you about language in front of the baby." She scolded him causing Jer and Justin to laugh out.
Logan glares at them, "the only baby around this table is Jerome," Logan lashes back.
Justin slaps Jer's back and bellowed out into laughter, as Jer screws up his face in embarrassment.
By the time the guys stopped laughing, Logan started telling his father about his meeting with grandmother but I sense there was more because of the quick glance he threw at Justin and then the confused Mrs. Stanley.
"Did you happened to see the 'ole man or was he out as usual?" Dad asks and I choked at his question.
Logan leans and pats me back until I stopped coughing.
Smiling, Logan shook his head.
"Are you okay Jamie?" Mom asks glaring at Logan.
Filling my mouth with potatoes so that I won't have to respond right away.
Pointing to my throat, "I think the water went down the wrong pipe," I laugh, then glares at Logan.
Oh so that's the game?
"Jess called Jer earlier today!"
