Chapter 193 - CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND NINETY THREE

Ensuring Jamie was safe with Jer and mom, I joined Cam and Bob to search the grounds for evidence of what could have happened while Whiz ran the cameras.

Unable to contain my anger at finding Jamie scantily dressed unconscious on the grounds threw me.

When I didn't see her in bed nor in the bathroom, I alerted the guards on duty who found her.

By the marks on the ground, it appeared as if she dragged herself but the disappointed looked in her eyes when I yelled at her, proved that maybe, just maybe, I was wrong!

"Where the f**k is Whiz?" I yelled impatiently, kicking the pot in front of Cam when he just stood there scratching his chin and brooding.

Glaring at me, "WHAT?" Cam yelled.

Looking away from me again, Cam appeared to have locked me out again but I know he's considering what could have happened to Jamie since it was him and another guy whose been working with him, that found her, while I searched inside.

"Call doc and let him do a blood test," Cam turned around and started pacing, shaking his head. "Jamie was way too disoriented." He spoke to himself, then nods and yells at me, "call f**king doc!" He instructed me before walking away.

Doc knew we were relocating so after arranging for him to be here ASAP, I nod my head at Bob.

"You should go get the balance of your sleep," I suggested. "Looks likes it's going to be a long day," standing up, I headed for the door when Bob's words stopped me at the entrance.

"I know you don't want to think about it but there is a traitor among us!" Bob said the words that's been playing havoc on my mind for the past few hours.

Without answering, I spun around and nod, before leaving to check on Jamie once again.

Mom and dad were walking out of the kitchen with coffee mugs in their hands. Dad nods with a grim smile while mom, confirmed that she's still upset with my behavior earlier.

"If you're going back to speak to her, behave otherwise stay away." Mom scolds me once again before walking away.

Tilting his head towards the kitchen, I followed dad in and accepted a mug of coffee from Mrs. Stan who had no greeting for me.

So mom filled her in!

Before I could take a sip of my coffee, dad started to repeat Bob's words disturbing me even more.

"Jamie would never wonder on the outside," dad reminded me, "maybe inside the house," he gaze thoughtfully at the kitchen table, "but never outside." He mused.

"Doc is on his way to take a blood test to see if she was drugged," I filled dad in, watching as he nods but his mind seemed very far away.

Finally lifting his eyes from the table top, "did we bring that traitor in or was he here all the time?" Dad frowns, averting his eyes but not before I noticed the defeated look in his eyes.

More angry than embarrassed, "I overreacted," I was saying when Justin walked in.

"You think?" He mocks me, his tone cold.

I watch him approach the stove to see him helping himself to a cup of coffee when Whiz barged in anxiously as he always appear when he's on to something, followed by a wearing looking Cam.

"You should take a rest," I suggested to him as I just did to Bob.

Glancing briefly at me, he shook his head and started brewing more coffee.

Taking a seat beside my father, Whiz types something quickly into his tablet, then slides it across to me, "this is the footage I got from the grounds, I am working on bringing up the other cameras from the sitting room to the where Jamie was found." Whiz spoke so fast that in the beginning it was always difficult to keep up with him, especially when he's nervous but I'm learning.

Jamie's being dragged from the front, judging by the direction the person who was dragging her, the person wearing my hoddie!

"What the f**k!" I muttered, lifting my eyes to four pair of eyes on me, "that's my hoddie," I admitted, taking in a deep breath. "What the hell is going on now?" I asked not just the guys but myself.

"Let's find the hoddie," I instructed the guys standing up hoping no one actually believes that I could hurt my wife this way.

Whiz looked around at everyone uncomfortbally before turning nervously to me, "I.. I hope you don't get upset," he started then looks at everyone again, before continuing. "I already spoke to Jamie and she admitted that she was wearing your hoodie when she left the room and your mom confirms it." Whiz enlightened me, "so no one's blaming you but someone is here on the compound with an agenda but it's to mess with you." Whiz picked up the hot mug of coffee Cam placed in front him and drinks it without flinching.

What he didn't say is that messing with Jamie is messing with me.

"F**k," I whispered, "I was such an assh**e to her earlier," I admitted because I was so afraid for her, I took it out on her.

"When aren't you ever?" Justin sarcastically threw at me, wincing as he takes a gulps of the hot liquid.

"I'll be with Jamie when doc comes in, send him up." I said to no one in particular as I started constructing an apology speech in my head.

"Hey boss," Whiz followed me, still staring anxiously at me.

Are there more damaging videos?

"With all due respect, I respect the missus as much as I respect you, so I hope I wasn't out of line to go with this video to her?" He asks, his jaws twitching awaiting my response.

Pulling him into a bro hug, "Jamie is my equal, never forget that!"
