Chapter 147 - CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN

I rock back and listen to my wife mess with Justin's head.

Skinny dipping?

Now that's definitely something to look out for, but not here with my parents living in close quarters, although I doubt Jamie was ever bold enough to even attempt skinny dipping in the lake while on study break with her brother.

.

Chuckling as I observe a flustered Justin allow my wife to take charge of his phone and punch Amy's number into her phone to inform that she will be notifying Justin about his daughter, with our without Justin's permission.

I actually think I had it easier, because mom make kissing and making up so easy, but I am here to support Jamie from Justin's wrath.

Jamie looks up from her phone to a confused looking Justin, with a small smile, but definitely satisfied. If Amy doesn't make her move, Jamie will.

Justin's phone started ringing and he looks down at his phone then lifts his eyes to Jamie's.

"It's Amy" he whispers.

Nodding eagerly, "well answer her, now!" Jamie responded with urgency.

"Hello?" Justin answers the caller. He stands from the lawn chair, nods to Jamie and turns to walk further down the shore of the lake.

I walked towards where Jamie sat, her eyes on Justin's back, as he stands in front of the lake, legs apart, one hand in his trouser pocket, his head bent, rocking back and forth on his heels.

Jamie was so lost in thought, while she stared at Justin, that she jumped when I sat on the lawn chair Justin just vacated.

With a hand on her chest, she glared at me.

"Seriously?" She shakes in fear, "did you have to scare me?" She continued with a tinge of anger. "Jesus Logan, you really scared me." Jamie's hand slowly lowering from her chest.

Dragging the chair closer to her, I placed my hands on her thighs.

"Sorry, I didn't think a girl whose brave enough to go skinny dipping would be scared so easily." I chuckle, winking at her with a mischievous smirk.

Blushing, she looks downwards, "you heard?" She asks softly and I nod, grabbing her hands.

"Don't worry, I'll back you up, if Justin asks." I promise her, leaning up to kiss her.

She grabbed my face and pulled me in to deepen the kiss which was cut short by Justin's yelling obscenities over the phone.

"What the f**k?" Justin shouted and I assumed that he just found out, he's a father.

"F**k you!" He continued yelling and Jamie's eyes widen in fear and I know that if this turns out bad, Jamie will blame herself."

"I want to see her and I want to see her now!" Justin's voice kept raising as he shouted at Amy and for once I actually pity her, but when Justin's done with her mother, I will pity her, just even more.

"Maybe she thought it was about time, don't you think?" Justin continued and I have no idea where the conversation had gone, but I still sat with a nervous Jamie, looking on."

"I've got an excellent lawyer and I will get her, I promise you and I am going to the cops to start the ball rolling." Justin threatens.

So I am getting involved? If Justin thinks I'm free, he's f**king lying to himself. I'm definitely going to be Godfather.

"Excellent!" Justin barks into the phone, "I'm on my way, with the cops," Justin snickers.

Jamie's fingers tightens around mines and I know it's fear.

"You have nothing to be afraid of" I reassure her, caressing her finger.

Nodding in agreement with me, "I'm afraid for her." Jamie admitted and I smiled.

Turning briefly to Justin, who was now facing us, "Justin's only barking. He loves Amy too much to bite her, but he will take the baby from her. That much I am positive about." I whispered softly to Jamie.

"Great" Justin was saying as he slowly approached us, cutting the call.

Staring me square in the face, "did you know?" He asks and as his gaze softens, he already realizes that I didn't before.

"Do you really need to ask me that?" I retorted.

Grabbing Justin's hand that was closest to her, "it's my fault, I only just told him and he recommend that I tell you, now." Jamie informs Justin, sadly.

Smiling, Justin stoops in front of Jamie, "I understand, you gave her time and now you told her the time is up." Justin nods with a small smile.

Jamie's eyes was tearing up, "please don't take the baby away from her." Jamie pleaded softly.

Justin lowered his head, "I don't want to, but if she give me no choice, I will have not other choice." Justin stares at Jamie, his eyes hardening.

Justin turns to me,, "she prefer giving the child to a stranger than to me." Justin slams a fist at his chest, tears started running down his cheeks. "She hid my child from me for two years, two f**king years," Justin cries.

"Justin, that wasn't her decision. Her mother made that call and did that, but she was searching and only just found her." Jamie pleaded on behalf of Amy.

"She should have told me," Justin said stubbornly and I knew now wasn't a good time to try convincing Justin whose fault it is. Justin will only listen when he has his daughter in his arms and I can't say I don't support him, because if I was the one in this position, it could be worst.

Wiping his eyes, Justin stoops down and kisses Jamie on her cheeks, "thank you," he says softly,, then turn to me, "I'm heading out." he informs me and I nod, because he has to do this.

Standing up, I hug him, slapping his back affectionately.

"Take two of the guys with you." I recommend hoping he agrees.

Jamie grabs my wrist, "why don't you go?" Jamie encourages me, "you're the lawyer, right?"
