Chapter 103 - ONE HUNDRED AND FOUR

I sense we are driving into a trap, but what can I do? I have to go in, for Jerome.

"Justin's signaling for us to stop." Bob, whose driving with me, suddenly disturbs my train of thoughts and I nod for him to pull aside.

Taking a deep breath, I rolled down my window as Justin, jogs from his vehicle to mines.

"It's a trap" he says and I nod agreeing with Justin and turn to Bob.

But it is still feels off.

Jamie! I can't just walk in like that, but I could get Jerome out, another way.

I pulled out my phone and dialed the courthouse, a number I know by heart!

As soon as the operator answers, "judge Delano's office please" I requested, ignoring the customary greetings.

After explaining everything to Delano, the guys and I parked at two different locations to make sure Jerome gets out safely with Delano's officers.

Jerome Scott is still in Jamie's care, even though he's eighteen, according to the court documents, but still no documents have been signed removing him from Jamie's care. Delano could intervene.

Now the question is, who set this up? Everyone at the cabin knows that Jerome is not one of my men so maybe, just maybe, it was coincidence. But I think not!

My phone starts to vibe and I reluctantly pulled it out to see it's Jamie. Smiling ruefully, remembering a few months ago, receiving a call from her number used to have my emotions all twisted, on the inside and I couldn't wait to answer, but not today!

Sighing when it stops ringing, tensing up when it starts up again.

Hearing Bob chuckle beside me, I shook my head, "when you're married, you'll understand. you won't find it funny" I mocked him, before answering.

"Sweetheart" I answered and was instantly cut off by Jamie,

"You better have a good reason for not being here" she says quietly and I paused. She's not angry that I suddenly bailed without notifying her!

Unable to have a long conversation right now, "I love you!" I reminded her.

"I know" she says softly, before hanging up!

I needed more, but this is what I get for now. Bringing Jerome safely home, that's what's important.

Turning to Bob whose chowing down on a Burger, like the three guys behind me.

"Jerome would appreciate you being here to help him" I told him, opening my own sandwich but not hungry.

Wiping his mouth with his sleeve, repulsed me. I offered him my napkin.

"Thanks" he nods and then continues, "he's a good guy and doesn't deserve this, especially, with him not being accustom to this way of life." Bob observed, staring ahead thoughtfully.

Turning to me, "who sent him out?" Bob asked the question that's been plaguing my mind since I found out he's not here.

"One thing I know right now, is that the motherf*****, came to lure us off!" Fuck! "Call Cameron, make it quick." I felt restless.

Someone lured us out and I'm not sparing anyone if our territory's invaded.

I had Justin called and alerted the men in the town, who still hasn't seen anything alarming but security measures are being taken to ensure that not only my family are safe, but also the towns family.

Even with the cabin area safe, I still alerted Cameron to secure everyone and I know he understood how, since we've been making an escape route that no one knows about, yet!

Throwing my head backwards, "f**k" I muttered. My life wasn't suppose to be like this. I had these amazing plans with Jamie, including a trip to Rome, a place she indicated she would visit one day because of the history attached to it.

I never mentioned it, but we were suppose to leave the night of the shooting for a month long honeymoon, but it never happened, because of my grandparents. I can't make any plans or make any promises right now until, until this fiasco, my grandparents have created has been dealt with.

The sounds of sirens and ambulances, going in the direction, where Jerome's, GPS says he is, woke me from my daze.

Impatient now, I glance behind me, where the guys were already throwing wrappers and empty cups unto the side of of the vehicle.

"F**k, guys, littering, seriously?" Not hiding my annoyance at them but unable to deal with it right now. "If we are picked up for littering on any surveillance cameras, you all" I point to them, before looking around the building that surround us. "f****** pay the fine." I, unlocked my hand guy and went to open the door.

"You shouldn't do that" Ray, who's sitting behind me, advises me. Shaking my head, I didn't heed his advise and stepped out of the vehicle.

"Stay here" I instructed the guys, as I walked towards the building, that hopefully houses Jerome and his captors. I need to identify these men.

Bob and the guys were opening the door, already stepping out, "stay here." I growled harshly, while shoving my gun behind the waistline of my jeans, making sure it's covered with my jacket.

Jogging toward the building, I heard rounds and rounds of gunshot. "Jerome. F**k, what the f**k man" I ran towards the building, but was accosted by two cops.

"Stop, you can't go in there" one cops shouts at me while another asked, "what are you doing here?' watching me cautiously.

Hitting my chest, "I'm the one who called judge Delano." I started, explaining and I see their eyes widen in recognition and I hope it's the judge's name they recognize and not me.

"Why are you here?" the second cop asks, motioning for the other cop to release me.

I looked towards the building, where the gun play had stopped, worry etched on my face. Dragging my dirty hands over my face, that's covered with two days of facial hair. I look around and suddenly Jerome's pickup comes in my view.
