'Shit!Fuck!Shit!Shit!Shit!'
He drove the four-wheeler as fast as he possibly could, it swirled along the muddy edges of the hill. The clouds wept and wept with the wailing wind making it harder to see. Another bullet shot past his head before two men on a bike came trailing behind with guns aimed at him.
Luckily for him, there was no road; all they had beneath them was a soggy and uneven path that ensured every bullet shot at him missed him. They only missed him by an inch or two but they missed him nonetheless and it was another minute he had where he was alive escaping with his life like he always had.
It was early in the afternoon but the sky was an unusual dull blue and lilac hue that darkened the Madagascan grasslands. The trees swayed heavily and their leaves were hit with large water droplets that fell from the clouds like rocks. The wildlife had retreated into their humble habitats seeking shelter from the approaching spell. It was indeed a battleground for the brave and the manic.
His mind raced through the many possibilities of his current situation. The rearview mirror revealed a fleet of military four-wheelers identical to his were hot on his wheels firing away to try and deter him. He pulled out another one of his grenades. It was the last one he had; he pulled the pin and waited, he slowed down a little, waited for them to close in just enough.
In a split second the grenade was thrown on the ground where it landed and burst. He stepped on the pedal again not looking back as he felt a wave of heat and fire approach him. Bits of metal flew around like confetti and the smell of gas overpowered the natural scent of the rain. It was the epitome of explosions; he emerged from the thick smoke that he left behind.
'HA HA HA!' He smirked victoriously and pumped his fist in the air feeling a sense of relief.
His relief was short-lived when two trucks emerged from the smoke, one with a rocket launcher that had already locked its target: his car.
'Oh for fuck's sake are you kidding me!?'
He saw a missile approach as he made a leap for the acacia bushes on the side praying they were softer than they looked. Hitting his head on the trunk of a barren tree and landing in some tall grass instead he blanked out still gasping for breath as the clouds above wondered whether he would live to see another day.
