*Taylor's POV*
I had another nightmare last night which had me thinking about how one person can go through as much as I have & stay sane, I really hope there won't be any more of this that I have to endure because I don't think I could go through it again. Even though I really wanted Xavier here with me I didn't want to be selfish, he needs to get caught up with school in order to graduate on time and I'm sure he'll be picking up all of my missing work from my teachers as well seeing as I'm pretty sure he wants to see me graduate with him.
All I keep thinking about is what Haven said about the possibility of not being able to have kids & seeing Xavier's reaction when I told him that he should find a mate that could give him that, he said everything right but how could he not be worried about the fact that I can't give him an heir well I guess that's something we won't have to worry about for a while yet anyway. It also made me realize how much we love each other even though we haven't marked or mated yet our bond is strong already but we were both willing to sacrifice something; like me with letting him go find another mate in order for him to produce an heir & him with not willing to let me go forgoing the possibility of having an heir.
I wonder how long I'll be stuck in here, I'll ask Haven when she comes to check on me which should be soon since it's 7 in the morning and right on schedule here comes Dr. Haven so I wait until after she checks me out before I ask "when can I go home? I'd feel more comfortable healing at home rather than here… no offense." She just laughs then tells me "that's quite all right & understandable although you're healing very well I'd like to keep you here at least until tomorrow but you will have to come in every couple of weeks so I can check on your progress as well as what we discussed yesterday." I gave her a big smile thanking her for everything she's done to help me heal then gave her a hug.
I can't wait until Xavier comes to visit so I can tell him that I will come home tomorrow and I'm pretty sure he'll be just about as happy as I am about that along with the fact that I'll be closer to him now, knowing that I feel much more relaxed… so much that I'm going to try to take a nap, hopefully without any nightmares.
*Xavier's POV*
I mindlinked the guys to meet me out front so when I got to school I brought them to the office to ensure nobody overhears anything until I talk to Taylor first but I can at least tell the guys since they've been with us. Once we shut & locked the door I looked at everyone before taking a deep breath then telling them all about the prophecy, Taylor's powers and what the Moon Goddess told me herself.
When I was finished I looked at them trying to gauge their reaction to all of this new information, I mean I know it's a lot to take in all at once but they completely surprised me. They looked at each other & back at me before Kyle said "WOW, I didn't see that coming. I mean I had a feeling that she was special since I had a really strong urge to protect her but not just because she's our Luna, it was more than that."
Even Sam spoke up saying "I had the same feeling when I first met her but not about the Luna thing but I always tried everything in my power to protect her… well at school anyway although I don't know how many times I talked to my father about getting her out of the packhouse which he was constantly looking into the law to see what was within our rights to remove her from the abuse. We couldn't find any loopholes but we did find out that Alpha Alex wasn't aware of any of the abuse that she endured but let me tell you he was beyond pissed when he found out."
Next it was Cameron who spoke "so now we know about the upcoming war when & how do you want to start training since nobody is sure exactly what we're up against? I think I speak for everyone when I say that we're in this together and will do everything we can to help especially if it's to protect & save all supernaturals… right guys" then they all said or rather yelled "HELL YES!!!"
I've always been proud to call them my family, all I can say is...DAMN, I've never been more proud of my pack members and I think it's safe to say that all of our other pack members will feel the same way, that's including the women, children & the elders. I told them that right now they're the only ones that know besides my parents but I'll be talking to Taylor when I visit today about having a pack meeting to inform all of the members of the upcoming war so we can strategize to prepare for it.
Now with that out of the way we head to our classes for a pretty boring day although I did pick up all of Taylor's missing work from all of her classes so she can graduate with me. I was a little surprised that she wasn't that far behind in any of her class work, all of our teachers said that they had actually wanted to put her in advanced classes since she's soo far ahead but she didn't want that so they gave me some of the newest work that they will be doing which wasn't a whole lot along with additional work they thought she'd enjoy but at least it will keep her occupied while she's healing. From talking to all of our teachers today I also learned that even if she doesn't do the work they handed me today because she's earned all of her credits, she would still graduate with honors no matter what which couldn't have made me any happier with the knowledge that we'll all be graduating together.
After I went to my locker to grab my things I walked out of the front doors of the school so lost in thought that I didn't even notice Sam calling my name until he was standing in front of me putting his hand on my shoulder pulling me out of my thoughts. He gave me a look and asked if I was alright which I replied yes then he looked at the books in my hand while I had my backpack hanging over my shoulder before asking "Ah I see you grabbed all of Taylor's work from her teachers huh although it doesn't look like she had that much work to do?" I told him that when I talked to all of our teachers they all said that she's earned all of her credits so even if she doesn't complete this work then she will still get to graduate with us with full honors.
Once I finished telling him he just looked at me & started chuckling telling me "I'm not surprised, even at our other school she was ahead of everyone and I have a feeling that was one of the reasons she got bullied because they were jealous although I am surprised that the teachers didn't put her in advanced classes!" I looked at him and replied "Actually they all wanted to because she's soo far ahead of everyone but she declined & just told them thank you but I'd rather stay in the same classes which they were surprised but respected her decision." We talked about a couple other things before going our separate ways so I can go visit Taylor, all day I wondered how she was doing today and hoping she isn't in any pain as I was heading towards the pack hospital to see the love of my life… my beautiful mate.
