*Sam's POV*
I was beyond relieved that Taylor is alright but what really surprised me was Xavier calling, he knew that she would've already told me about the new school so asked "is there any way you could transfer schools as well?" explaining that "I would feel honored since you had done your best to protect her and even though she'll have me there I know she'll feel much better with both of us in" which I told him I had already asked my father about switching since he feels the same way about Taylor.
I told him that it was already in the works for the day she would go back, he asked "Please don't tell her yet, I'd like to keep it as a surprise if that's possible! If you can, meet us in front of the school on the first day & I'm pretty sure that will ease her mind having her best friend right there with her as well". The rest of the week flew by soo fast that I didn't have a chance to talk to Taylor's father, I hadn't seen him since I went looking for answers on what happened to her.
I went to look for Beta David throughout the pack house and found him in the office with Alpha Alex, I knocked on the door & waited a few minutes for David to open it. I walked in front of the desk then looked at David telling him that I finally got to talk to Taylor and said "I just wanted to thank you for stepping up as well as letting her transfer" I noticed that he put his head down then told him "I'll be also attending that school with her".
He just looked up at me with a small sad smile saying "no thanks are necessary, I should've been there for her when she needed me". "What do you mean?" I asked, he replied by telling me "I know you were aware of some of the abuse she went through although other than the bullying at school I was contributing to it at home that I'm very ashamed of & waiting to deal with my punishment". I was in complete shock not only was he taking responsibility for his role in the abuse he was ready to take his punishment...wow.
Alpha Alex spoke up saying "I'm glad you've admitted your mistakes but I don't feel additional punishment is necessary, you've gone through a lot with what happened to Taylor waiting patiently to get justice for who did that to her so you don't have to worry, just be there for her when she needs you".
Alex must of seen the confusion on my face as he went to make sure the door was locked before telling me about what happened, their suspicions & the results they were waiting for but informing me that I can't say anything to anyone about it yet even though Taylor already told them who did it, they want to make sure he can't weasel his way out of it or run seeing as the outcome will bring upon Nick's death.
I couldn't believe my ears so it was Nick, I had a feeling with the way he kept smirking at me...the bastard. I see their point seeing as it is a strong accusation that he could try to claim that it was consensual, I'm looking forward to finding out the results which should be any day now. I left the office to go back home to get everything ready for school on Monday but I also wanted to talk to my father about what I found out to get his opinion on the matter.
