*Taylor's POV*
It was a beautiful Sunday afternoon so after training Xavier had a surprise for me, a picnic in the meadow behind the pack house, it was absolutely breathtaking and he had quite a variety of food made for us. After eating we just sat there & talked about different things then he asked the question I've been dreading, how am I really feeling since the attack. I've been trying to avoid it not wanting to tell him about what Nick did to me so he keeps insisting I talk about it, so I told him that if he knew he would reject me in a heartbeat but wouldn't let it go which made me snap at him.
I raised my voice telling him of everything that had been done to me during the attack while crying at the same time before getting up to run away from him knowing when he catches up to me he'll reject me because I'm damaged. I stopped at a clearing and dropped down to cry some more which was cut short when I heard a twig snap, I turned towards the noise but didn't see anything then I heard a loud growl as a large brown wolf with red eyes came out from behind a tree that tells me it was a rouge.
I quickly got into a defense stance hoping I wouldn't have to fight it, even though I'm getting stronger I still haven't gotten my wolf yet & Mike hasn't started having me fighting another wolf while staying in my human form but he doesn't have to know that.
As I was getting ready for it to attack I heard another growl coming from the direction I came from before seeing a large black wolf with some white on it's ears when I noticed that the black wolf was growling at the rouge then when it turned toward me & looked at it's eyes I realized that it was Xavier.
He looked back at the rouge as it started coming closer to me but just before it could attack Xavier jumped catching it off guard and ripping its throat out then going behind a tree to shift back putting on a pair of shorts he must've had over there. Coming back out he asked if I was alright & apologized for pushing me to talk about what happened, then asked me how could I think that he would reject me because of what happened which he informed me he already knew yet he continued to stay right by my side also telling me that he doesn't feel like I'm damaged at all, and come to think of it he hasn't treated me that way either.
All of a sudden a pain goes right through my body bringing me to the ground, I look over at Xavier to ask what's happening when he just looks at me & calmly tells me I'm starting to shift before my body feels like it's on fire then I feel my bones cracking and repositioning themselves.
As I'm yelling due to the pain for what feels like hours was actually only an hour until I felt that I was lower to the ground when I finally hear my wolf, she tells me her name is "Sapphire" then I ask what she looks like seeing as there isn't a lake or anything for me to see. I'm in complete awe when she shows me what her wolf looks like, I still can't believe it then I hear Xavier calling me waving his hands in front of me.
I looked over to see the look of admiration on his face before realizing I don't know how to shift back when he notices he just tells me to imagine my human form. I did as he suggested picturing my human body and started shifting back which I was thankful that there wasn't as much pain as before, once back I was surprised that I was still fully clothed he told me that it will get easier & less painful with each shift.
He said that he was impressed with my first shift as well as in awe with my wolf but I told him that we had to keep it secret and tell only the ones we fully trust, we agreed to tell his parents about it but before we go back to the pack house I made sure I had the pendant on in order to keep myself hidden.
