*Xavier's POV*
I was smiling when I got home and was greeted by my mother Lily who was grilling me about my first day at the new school, did anything exciting happen which she could tell it was something good by the smile on my face. I was soo happy that I just yelled out "I found her, I finally found my mate", my mother screamed from happiness which made my father Michael come out of his office to find out what was going on so my mother told him what was going on.
Of course they wanted to know everything about her from us meeting at school, what she was like well pretty much anything which I answered the best I could since I didn't really get to talk to her. I also told my father about how she gets bullied seemingly by the entire pack except for one person along with what people were saying about her after telling them about my suspicions my dad asked me what her name is so he can look more into her as well as the pack.
I could tell by his face that he was disgusted by how the pack treats her, on the other hand my mom was upset but she was more concerned for my mate's safety although I did tell them that I'm pretty sure she's in all my classes which makes it easier to keep an eye out to make sure she's ok while at school & that I wish I had someone that can keep an eye on her at home too.
As I was doing my homework after dinner out of the blue I started to feel pain and panic in a matter of just few minutes then nothing at all, I couldn't for the life of me figure out what it was until Damien said "mate in trouble", I just blew it off telling him it can't be it since we don't really have a strong enough bond yet so how would I be able to feel her & that she's fine although I started doubting it myself especially seeing as we don't know how she's treated at home. Once finished I got ready for bed then laid down drifting into a nice dreamless sleep.
*Taylor's POV*
I slowly woke up to my alarm not really wanting to get out of bed since my whole body hurt from last night's beating so I carefully grabbed my clothes then made my way upstairs to take a shower. After getting dressed I went into the kitchen to start cooking breakfast, when done I grabbed my bag ready to walk to school. I'm glad that I left a little earlier seeing as it hurt to move so it took longer to get there then I entered the building straight towards my locker where as promised Sam was waiting for me.
As I got closer he looked up & I could see the genuine concern in his eyes while watching me slowly get to my locker then asked "Are you ok, what happened?" so I just told him that I was fine since I really didn't want to talk about it right now at which point he let it go for now although knowing he'll ask me again later. He walked me to my first class trying to make sure I did get harassed on the way then went off to his class not really caring if he's late or not so I went inside.
I could feel almost everyone's eyes on me while I slowly got to my desk, I heard some laughing at me but when I looked up a little I noticed Xavier from the corner of my eyes frowning then I thought I saw his beautiful green eyes turn black for a few seconds before returning to their natural color with what it seems like concern and worry for me. That can't be right why would he feel that way since he doesn't even know me unless it's some kind of trick so he can bully me too so I just shrugged it off as the teacher started the lesson while I tried to pay attention.
