After Yoru lightly pushed Kurai into the room, the door closed leaving Kurai inside alone with Estros. "Why is his office this long? swear one of these days he's gonna fall over mid way to his desk or out…" Kurai thought as her eyes finally laid on Estros sitting all the way over there.
The rough length of the room was currently from the door to the desk 40 feet. Both Kurai and Yoru found this completely exaggeratedly extra since not even 20% of the room was occupied. But as Kurai looked at Estros, he spoke up. "Welcome Kurai, please take a seat." After the invitation. Estros snapped his fingers again, and the same thing that happened to Yoru happened to Kurai.
Suddenly from the other side of the room, Kurai was in front of the desk. Exactly as it happened with Yoru, however this time, his tone wasn't serious but more confident. "I'll cut straight to the chase Kurai. I haven't seen your powers, but i get the feeling they are pretty dark form the looks of your deep mana stream." Estros started standing up to face a portrait behind him.
"What?" Kurai asked confused as to how he could see that, and with his back turned to Kurai, he asked her if she could feel it. Kurai was now aware that she needed to sense something focused on everything apart from the confident Estros.
"I think i can feel it…" Kurai said hesitantly. "Is it the way the room feels like it's alive or moving in random ways?" she asked Estros who still had his back to her. "Yes. This room, office if you will. Wasn't designed by me, but by someone who had the ability to distort space and bend it to his will to certain extents. Not many can actually feel this, and those who do, are two people apart from you in this academy. Of course one Is me, and the other is another boy who is in his last year. I call the ones who can sense it, King candidates." He said lifting his hand up clenching it. "Although there is no position of king or queen in this case, to obtain. There is something else. The heart of the Leviathan or the water monarch's tear of life." Estros became quiet for a moment.
"Say, why do you follow your sister?" he asked Kurai who answered without a second thought. "Because she's my sister." Kurai really didn't think hard about the question and did not take a second to think about it either.
That made Estros lose focus of whatever he was about to say. "I-i guess that's a way to look at it. Is there anything else perhaps?" He tried asking to see if her answer would maybe hold something else. right as he asked her, she opened her mouth and told him "Because we're family."
Estros nearly fell to the ground in disbelief. "There's no way a king candidate would be so simple minded…" he tried convincing himself. "What about your ambitions, any big wishes, goals or dreams?" he further asked.
Right there and then Kurai smiled confidently "Of course, who wouldn't have any of those. First up, my wish. My wish is to keep traveling with my sister. Then my goal is to keep her happy, and well fed, and as for what i want in the future, that's pretty simple. To have strong children." When Kurai finished telling Estros these things he nearly died on the spot.
"First the other guy is focused on his family's inheritor seat, and is overall a horrible living being. Then there's this hopeless girl who's got no real ambitions…. I'm going to retire at this rate." Estros panicked in his head right before Kurai calling out to him snapped him out of it.
"Ahh yes yes, apologies for~ nevermind i was thinking too hard. Wh-what i was trying to say was, that~ just try focusing on tomorrow's event. You and your sister will be the stars of the event i'm sure… and another reason i called was to let you and her know that…" Estros went on to offer Kurai the exact same offer that he did to Yoru, though her fight would be against the top student of the first years Vron Reinheart.
After this Kurai left the room with Estros contemplating his life. When Kurai and Yoru saw each other again they went to the dorm room they were assigned to stay in, and went onto explain to each other what he talked to them about, where Yoru would be confused as to what Estros might've meant by the water monarch's tear of life.
So as both siblings talked, somewhere else at the school, Estros informed Vron and Kendred Reinheart that they'll be fighting the twins tomorrow, and he told them the exact match ups for themselves. "Just remember to leave out your family affairs and influence from this event. Or I will act myself, you two…" Estros warned both siblings who were talking to each other before Estros arrived to inform them of the match ups.
With this Estros vanished into thin air, leaving no trace of him being there ever. "Jeez, that principle really doesn't care about our family or about who we are." Vron said to Kendred who just shrugged it off.
"For people like him, and stronger. Families and reputations don't matter. All that does, it strength, and needed strength to be at the top. So of course threating us is just another sip of tea for him." Kendred told Vron who sighed as they then began to speak of their earlier conversation in the dorm room that belonged to the both of them.
When Estros vanished, he appeared somewhere dark and unknown where a portrait of a young man next to Estros in his youthful days was. "If you were right, old friend. Then the followers of the Void will soon be here. That and the great catastrophe that will one day arrive to Hydropolis's shores.
