Chereads / The Adventures in Camelot / Chapter 49 - The Mighty Pharaoh of the Sun

Chapter 49 - The Mighty Pharaoh of the Sun

Near one of Camelot's borders. Was a massive army. Twice the size of of the combined army of Alexander the great, and Darius the third, and in front of this massive army was none other than Ramesses the second. Also known as Ramses the great.

King Arthur and all of his knights of Camelot. Were all standing face to face with Ramesses the great, and his mighty army of Egypt, but Arthur and his knights were like pebbles facing a mountain.

" The odds are not in our favor " said Merlin, who was next to Arthur.

" Merlin, for once, tell me something I don't know " said Arthur.

" I can easily take all of them " said Nungal.

" I will not deny that, but for now you will show restraint, my dear squire. Alright who is up? " said Jacob.

" Why don't we let Sharur take this one " said Azrael.

" I would be honored to. The enemy in front of us is the mighty Pharaoh himself, Ramesses the second. Also known as Ramses the great. There are many monuments bearing his name in Egypt. Ramses is also referred to as the

" Great Ancestor " by later rulers of Egypt " said Sharur.

" Fun fact. Ramesses the second is also rumored to have about 100 children " said Hermanubis.

" I have also heard that Ramesses the second was compared to the planet Jupiter " said Jacob.

" How so? " said Nungal.

" Well. He is massive in size, but just full of gas " said Jacob, and everyone else just giggled.

Sir Galahad walked up to King Arthur, and then said " I have brought him, my King "

Pharaoh Tutankhamun could then be seen walking up to King Arthur.

" It is good to see you again, oh Pharaoh of Egypt, but I don't remember asking Emperor Lucius to tag alone " said King Arthur.

" It is also good to see you again, oh King of Camelot, and besides. Emperor Lucius said that he was in the mood for a war " said Tutankhamun.

" Indeed I am. You should be honored that I could spare the time to save your sorry behind, oh King of Britain. Therefore. I have brought 25% of my Roman army to your aid " said Lucius.

" And I have brought 50% of my Egyptian army to your aid " said Tutankhamun.

" I will forever be in your debts. Thank you both very much " said King Arthur.

" I don't need your thanks, just make sure you entertain me " said Emperor Lucius. Who then rode back to his Roman army.

" And I am just happy to help a friend in need " said Tutankhamun. Who then looked at Sir Galahad, and then rode back to his Egyptian army.

" What do you think about our odds now, Merlin " said Arthur.

" I think that you need a bath. I can smell you from over here " said Merlin, and Arthur just hit Merlin with the back of Excalibur.

" Hey. Do you see that " said Arthur.

" No, but I can feel the dent in my head. That you just gave me " said Merlin.

" Not that, you Clotpole. The leader of the army is signaling that he wants to speak. I will go alone " said Arthur.

" My brother. You can't be serious " said Sir Kay.

" I am. I want all of you to stand-by " said Arthur. Who then rode towards Ramesses the second in the middle of the battlefield.

Merlin and Sir Kay looked at Madoc, and all Madoc did was shrug his shoulders.

Arthur dismounted Llameri and Ramses got of his chariot (That was being pulled by six beautiful horses, covered in nothing, but gold) and then the two rulers walked towards each other, and now stood face to face with one another.

" I am King Arthur, King of Britain. May I ask why you have come here. Surely it is not to sight see " said Arthur, but Ramses said nothing. Instead. Ramses clapped his hands. Which made four men from his army ride forward.

The four men then erected a tent around Arthur and Ramses.

The four men then sat two thrones down, and in the middle of those two thrones was placed a table.

Ramses sat down on one throne, and Arthur sat down on the other throne. One of the four men then placed. What seemed like a chess set. On the table.

" You want to play chess? " said Arthur.

" No. I want to play Senet " said Ramses.

" I don't know how to play Senet " said Arthur.

" Then you are not fit to rule over Camelot " said Ramses.

Arthur looked confused, and then said " What do you mean? "

" Any great ruler should have the ability to adapt to their opponent in any given circumstance. If you don't know how to play, then learn as we play " said Ramses. Who then made the first move.

Arthur then made his move. Which made Ramses say " Seems you learn fast, King of Britain "

" Master, I have something important to tell you " said Jacob.

" Then speak, my knight " said Madoc.

" Some of the female warriors from Tutankhamun's army was hoping if they could join you in your chamber after this battle " said Jacob with a serious tone.

Madoc just looked at Jacob, and then said " NOW IS NOT THE TIME FOR THAT SORT OF THING, MY KNIGHT! "

" So can I tell them. That they can join you on a later date? " said Jacob.

Madoc started to blush, and then said " I DID NOT SAY THAT!!! " and all Nungal had to say was " Prince Madoc. You should really learn to cut lose sometimes "

" It seems that you won one out of third " said Ramses.

" I would almost say, that you went a little easy on me that one time " said Arthur, but Ramses said nothing. He only smiled.

" Let us get on with our war " said Ramses. Who then stood up from his throne.

Arthur walked over to Ramses to shake his hand.

Arthur and Ramses shook hands, and then rode back to their armies.

" You were gone for quite awhile. What were you two doing? Making out? " said Merlin.

" Shut it Merlin, and I think it is high time that we started this war " said Arthur. Who then rode in front of his knight, and stood in front of the armies of Lucius and Tutankhamun.

" Fellow brothers in arms. To some of you. I am your King, and to some of you. I am a stranger, and to some. I am a enemy, but I ask that you all put that aside, and join me in battle. Not as a King. Not as a stranger, and not as a enemy, but as a fellow warrior. Whose only desire is to see his people prosper. Now. Who will fight with me? " said King Arthur, and everyone (From Arthur's knights. To the men and women from Lucius and Tutankhamun's army) all raised their weapons. Ready for battle.

Arthur nodded, and then drew forth Excalibur. Arthur then faced towards Ramses and his army.

King Arthur, then held Excalibur high in the air, and said " FOR PEACE AND JUSTICE! " and rode towards Ramses and his army, and behind King Arthur followed everyone else.

Ramses smiled and then said " Rejoice my mighty army of Egypt. For this day we shall all fight as legendes! "

Ramses then charged at King Arthur with his golden chariot, and behind him followed his mighty army.

The two massive armies finally meet on the battlefield, and for hours. All that could be heard was the sound of swords hitting one another, but in the end. It was not Arthur who stood face to face with Ramses, but Madoc.

Madoc and Ramses had a long and hard battle, but luckily. Madoc was the victories one, and with the fall of Ramses. The mighty army of ancient Egypt turned into dust. Along with their pharaoh.

Arthur walked up to his brother and then said " Well done, my brother " and all Madoc did was smile.

Lucius and his army returned back to Rome.

Tutankhamun quickly said farewell to Sir Galahad before returning back to Egypt. Galahad promised that he will visit his dear friend soon.

Arthur and all his knights then returned home.

Later, at the Morrigan's cave.

" So even an army failed. What now? " said lady Morgana.

" Now. We try one last time " said Lug.
