As the sun sets on a starry night, a beast runs past a desolate ranger station. This part of the country had long since been abandoned by the world. The wimpers of a wounded dog or wolf echo through the forest as fireflies start lighting up the forest as the world finally relents. The beasts of the forest abide by an unwritten rule of the forest. The canine limps back to its den, grateful for the peace as it starts to recuperate from its wounds.
Outside of its den, the wolf is awoken by a sudden rattling>It springs out of its comfortable moss bed to scare away what it can only assume is a rival beast finishing it off when its weak. Confused by the lack of threat, it sniffs around for what woke it from its slumber.
The sound,as it turns out, was a lone human skull. The wolf glared at the half smiling skull half-buried in the fertile soil. As it turned away however the skull made another noise. As a slow wind lifts the skull into the air gently, a loud whistling sound pierced the air.
Bones came flying from all directions swirling in a vortex. Each bone starts to vibrate, loosening layers of dirt and slightly rotted flesh leaving only pure white bones behind. Out of thin air, a bulging mass of red flesh starts wrapping around the bones. Bright green pupils flash from the newly grown eyeballs. A light smirk appears on the face of a man who appeared out of nowhere.
Finally finding the intruder, the wolf breaks out of its stupor growling. The man looked at the wolf briefly and started walking in a random direction. The wolf, slightly confused, went back to lie down unknowing of the following chaos about to ensue.
