Love.
A simple, yet, confusing word. Love is a so complicated but also simple to explain well at least you think it's something like loving people no matter what gender, right? WRONG! In my world it's lot different than you think. Where I live, loving the opposite gender is wrong, and for anyone who disagrees with it gets "fixed". Now, you might think, 'What's wrong with loving the opposite sex?' well, here's why. . . In the history books there was a fare maiden and everyone adored her. Everyone wanted her, but one day the guys in the village raped her, so she took it apone herself and her closest guy friend to start making rules about banning opposite sex couples. See all just from heart break she damnd everyone's right to love other people of opposite sex.
In society where we're divided by gender and the only way we can talk to the opposite gender is by being friends and nothing more. Even jobs, only allowed male bosses to have male employees, same for the females so no one could interact with the opposite gender, unless there with a significant other. Let's begin with how I risked everything for one guy. . .
A splitting headache, jolts me awake I open my eyes, to see the sun shining through a small window, with silky blue curtains. I sigh and sit up.
"Stephanie?" I said shakenly.
"Headache again?" She responds back. I sigh and fall back on my bed.
"Yes. . ." I said pulling a pillow over my head to stop the pounding in my head. After, staying like that for a few minutes, footsteps approached my bedside. I move the pillow slowly, to see a tall girl with ivory hair, and almond eyes staring at me with a worried look on her face while holding a pill bottle.
"Here." She said, as she hands me the pill bottle. I grab the pill bottle, and pop the top off. I then, reached for my glass of water on the nightstand and took the pills.
"Thanks. . Where's Stephanie?" I groan as I stand up.
"Huh. . Oh she's in the kitchen." She sighed, clearly not interested in what Stephanie was doing. I sigh and rub my head shaking off the weird feeling of her liking me or what not. I walk into the kitchen and the girl follows.
"Finally found you're mate..." I smiled. Stephanie twirled around to face me.
"Yes!" She chirped. "I met her by the marketing and she confessed to me, oh Kia I wish you were there, it was so romantic." She sighed in excitement. I smile and just looked at how happy she was, her dark brown hair, and her green emerald eyes sparkling as she spoke, after all she deserves it. She's always so kind and honest, but I do have a awful feeling about her girlfriend. I should tell her.
"I'll be working late tonight so I won't be back until 7pm." I said as thoughts filled my head.
"Okay Olivia and I, will keep the house clean, as well as have dinner ready when you come back okay?" Stephanie smiles. I smile back in response and walk to my bedroom. I sigh and start to draw my bath water and set my clothes out on my bed. After awhile, of letting the tub fill up I stop the water, and remove my robe and get in.
Few minutes later~
"Okay I'm leaving now." I open the front door and leave. I start to walk out, on to the street to see everyone standing out in front of a ribbon in front of a tall building. "Okay what the hell is this?" I sputtered, but, continued to walk towards the crowd.
"Kai! come over here." A women shouts towards me.
"Huh?" I look around to see my boss in front of the crowd. "Oh hello Miss Charlotte." I walk up to her, and she smiles and takes my hand
"Thank you everyone, for coming here to day for the opening ceremony of my new building." Charlotte chirped. Charlotte proceeds with the grand opening.
Bang! Everyone's gaze look towards two people who were thrown out of a storage house. The women screams and as she was separated from the man.
"ANDREW!" The woman screams.
"I LOVE YOU MAY!" Andrew yelled. They both were dragged away and Charlotte continued as if nothing happened. Charlotte cuts the ribbon and everyone claps. I smile and clap, and look over the sea of people to find a young man looking at me. I blink a few times, but everytime he's still looking at me.
