'Yo people! This is detective Kurasaki. Today, I received a weird case. Usually, I wake in the morning, have a nice warm cup of coffee with a bit of milk to sweeten it up. After warming myself up, I stroll into the office. People in this town are uncannily nice. The worst case, hehe...now listen carefully, I have ever received was when Mrs. Yuki's dog met a sad end. The incident still brings tears to my hardened eyes. The dog was indeed a very stout lad who was full of potential to become the town's guardian. Yes, I forgot about the most important part of the story. It was when I lent my shoulder for the very heartbroken Yuki-san to cry on. Them mounds. Pushing on me, a heavenly sensation indeed. So today after I strolled in at an even more leisurely pace into the police station, suddenly this homicide case popped up. Here I was, minding my own business, paying extra attention to the safekeeping of the safety in town but no! Kurasaki, the Detective, needs a fucking headache! The daughter of the Shirasaki family who had transferred to Shirasaki High School. Huge donation involved, I shit you not. Well, in rather blunt words, she jumped or was pushed or, I do not think there are any other options available. Well, after seeing the body, I went to pick up a guy who lived below the roof. I was grateful enough to give that brat a ride to the station. Then he shits me like this...'
At my office. In the dark interrogation room. The polygraph specialist is sitting outside on the opposite side of the silvered mirror.
"Kid, you recognize this girl?"
'The guys quiet calm. Let's show him the gravity of the situation.'
"Yes."
'What! This fucker is smiling.'
"When?"
"Last night."
"Where did you see her? What were you doing then?"
"On the rooftop of my apartment complex, trying to commit suicide."
'What the fuck? Why is everyone so non-committal to life!'
"Then what happened?"
"She appeared out of nowhere and jumped."
He heaved a long and deep sigh.
'He is lying.'
The earphone deep in his ear, out of plain sight, rang out.
"The polygraph matched. The kid is not lying."
"WHAT? I, the great Detective, had a wrong intuition! Impossible. "
"Drink this."
"What is it?"
"Tea."
'A specially concocted drink. Cough! Cough! I mean a truth serum which was made by this great Detective's hands.'
"For me? Why? Am I not being interrogated?"
"You ask a lot of questions, being the one interrogated. Drink up, it will soothe your nerves. It must have been traumatic for you. "
'Trauma, my ass! This psycho is grinning from ear to ear.'
Five minutes later.
"Sir, you are not going to ask any further questions?"
"Finish your tea."
"The tea...It is pretty unique."
Fifteen minutes later.
"I have finished my tea."
"Have you calmed down?"
"Yes."
"Then let me treat myself to a cup of coffee. This has never occurred in this town, after all. I guess I am getting old and emotional."
'What emotional...all my emotions are reserved for Yuki and her alone...speaking of that one day I will be alone with her mounds and then...Oolala!'
Twenty minutes later.
"Sorry the machine was not working, see the next nearest coffee is a little far..."
"Ids all ride. I dond mind."
"The serum kicked in."
"Wad sedum..."
"Oi polygraph guy, get ready."
"At your command, sir. I have a name, sir. Do allow me to give you a hint, it is not 'polygraph' and I do not really approve of your methods. But again, I really need my big break now. I cannot stand this peaceful town anymore."
"Hmph...whatever, I will pretend that I did not hear that."
"Wad do ye said"
"Shall we begin? Your mix. Cough! The truth serum worked wonders on him."
"Let us begin."
