=The Papal Court=

Giovanni / Pope Benedict IX: he was an American with Italian origin. It is still unknown why he reincarnated into the past and became Pope Benedict IX. He is called the Young Pope because he was the youngest pope in history, elected at the age of 12. Although modern historians believe he was 20 when he became pope, but that doesn't change the fact that he is the youngest pope in history.

Matteo: Benedict's attendant. He is not very well-learned but in charge of minor tasks such as serving the pope and reading the calendar for him.

Vincent: a servant inside the Papal Household at Lateran Palace. Very strong, trained since young to be always loyal to the Master of Lateran Palace i.e. the Pope.

The Cardinals: The Pope's helpers in shepherding the Church.

=County of Tusculum=

Count Alberic III: the Count who bought the papacy for his son. Before his son, his brothers also served as popes: Pope Benedict VIII and Pope John XIX.

Countess Emelina: the Count's wife. She loves her children and will even fight her husband if he harms any of them. She is displeased that her husband forced her son to be pope.

Hayabusa: probably ninja from Japan. It's still unknown how he got to Italy. He was loyal to the Count until Benedict showed some knowledge of Japan. He got intrigued by the Young Pope and wants to know how a boy in such a faraway land knows about thing such as sakura.

=The Infernal Court=

The Devil / Satan / Lucifer: Prince of Darkness and Supreme Ruler of Hell. He knows about Benedict's secret and attempted to tempt him. His objective is to see the MC ends up in hell with him.

Paimon: Lucifer's attendant. She dresses just like Paimon in Genshin Impact.

Asmodeus: King of Hell and in charge of the Sin of Lust. Responsible for destroying marriages (by adultery).

Mammon: in charge of the Sin of Greed.
