"You deserve that you... Arrgghh I don't know what came to you and you did that.", Jade grumbled after punching Belle's shoulder a little hard.
"I was just doing a prank, you don't need to be such a kill joy.", Belle argued, while massaging her aching shoulder to ease the pain, she never knew how Jade got so stronger, it seems like he don't even know how strong he is.
Jade remembered how he almost got an heart attack earlier, when he found Belle she was lying on the ground, first thing that came to his mind was that she was attacked. but when he got near she didn't even got a scratch, and she was still breathing, but when he tried to shake her awake she didn't respond, not even a shudder, she seemed to be in a coma, and that's when his heart started to race, and his sensitive side punched up on, tears welled the side of his eyes as he hugged Belle's body nearer, he didn't really wanted to cry but, if something happened to Belle because he used her to keep an important artifact safe then he will never be able to forgive himself, and as his tears drop, he suddenly felt a shudder from her, and a sound like as if someone's trying not to laugh, warrior instinct came in he laid he head down, and looked at all sides, when he looked at his back that's when Belle jumped at his back, and due to shock he elbowed her, but instead of grunting she just laughed letting him know it was her, that's when his shock turned into anger, and they started to fight.
"Well it wasn't a great time to do such jokes, and even so, it was never right to make people feel worried...", he gave her a cold stare, with his Jade eyes he was sure that she can start to mentally feel the coldness of the Atlantic ocean.
Sure enough after a few minutes she raised both hands, surrendering.
"Fine you win, I'm wrong, can we get this over with, I thought you need to get something?", Belle said,
"Indeed, but we're thirty minutes delayed already due to your pranks.", Jade announced after looking at his wrist watch which seem to materialized from nowhere.
"Eh?", Belle grumbled, it wasn't nice being blamed for the delay, but Jade was right she shouldn't've gone pranking on him, since as he said they were there for something important.
"Alright let's just go and get that thing.", She said, with a sigh.
Jade looked at her with question.
"Well, are we going or not?", she scowled, a bit irritated.
Jade looked at her, in a way that makes her think that he's looking through her like a blind person, and then he grabbed her hand, and they both run, quite fast, and when she yelled at him, asking why they were running, and is there something running after them, he answered "No, we're just delayed for so long so we must move double time.".
When the two halted, they were in front of a massive double doors, with weird carvings of creatures with horns that curved, or Two pairs of arms with sharp claws, or Fangs so long, and sharp looking, when she was about to ask what were does things Jade kicked the door, making it open wide, and facing them was their own reflections, "So this is the entrance to the house of mirrors?", she thought.
"Indeed, it is the entrance, and yet it's already creepy, can't imagine what it's like inside...", Jade said, and Belle realized that he just read her mind.
"Jade haven't I told you not to read my mind... it's... odd... so stop.", she said, a bit hesitant, then she looked at him, he was a bit late when he tried to mask the hurt in his face with a smile, she saw it, and it made her heart throb.
"Fine, if you think it's odd, then I won't do it again...", he answered trying to brighten his smile, then he look straight towards the opened door that leads to where they'll go.
She felt her heart throb once more, so she took his hand, which made him look at her with a concerned questioning look in his beautiful green eyes, and then she said, "Umm... I didn't mean to offend you Jade, I just wasn't used to those things and it makes me confuse towards the fact that you aren't the person I've known four years before.".
Jade smiled, and then held her face, he caressed her cheek as he tucked some strands of her hair in her ear, then he held both of her hands, and said, "It's fine, and I know it's kind of weird for you, but I promise after this, I'll explain everything to lessen the confusion you have in your mind, just know that, even though there's a lot of changes that happened, I'm still the Jade who loved you... as a sister four years back.".
And with that, Jade pulled her, crashing right into the mirror which cracked into tiny splinters that turned to dust, and seconds later, she and Jade have entered the "House of Mirrors".
