"It was a great day, thank you. Alex" said Bella again as they entered home. But Alex just smiled and said nothing.
When they were playing there in the sand god knows when he drifted to the past and lost himself in the memories of his family.
They used to make the sand castle the same way and then play in the sand. It was just like the time everything was perfect.
He unconsciously drifted away.
"Alex, are you okay?" asked Bella again and Alex finally looked at her and smiled.
"I am much better than okay, I have spent a beautiful day with you. Though Liam did not reply to my message for leave. Hope he is not that angry to create a scene yesterday. It is my first leave in my entire job." Alex added as he checked his phone once again.
"I should have called him instead of messaging him" mumbled Alex as he dropped himself on the sofa.
"Alex, are you tired, do you want to eat something?" she asked as she looked at him slumped on the sofa.
