After finishing his conversation with Axel, Cipher was both excited and terrified. He realized while speaking with Axel that he would probably be alone...a lot...which wasn't that big a deal, Cipher was used to it as he had been alone most of his previous life. The one thing that did reassure Cipher was the fact that he had his partner DEM to keep him company, even if DEM was only in his head.
Thinking about DEM reminded Cipher that he had a question regarding the system [DEM do I have enough points to upgrade the system?] {DEM ~ Yes, you have 200 Dream Credits and it costs 100 for the first upgrade. Would you like to upgrade the system?} [Yes, I'm interested to find out what new features it has to offer].
Moments later a ding could be heard, {DEM ~ upgrade is complete, would you like a list of the new features?} Cipher excited about the upgrade and how little time it took responded out loud, "Yes, lets check them out."

Cipher was please with the system upgrade, he had received a plethora of tools that he could actually utilize. With that take care Cipher realized he had to get some sleep tonight as Axel had suggested to him, so he knew he wouldn't have time to go through all the new features. Cipher did, however, want to check out the Armor Shop in hopes of getting some comfortable clothing to wear before he left tomorrow. Cipher was looking to get four items in the Armor shop. Opening up the shop he noticed right away that the higher the class, the higher the cost of Dream Credits. Scanning through the items available in the D-Class list Cipher found what he was looking for, a pair of waterproof boots. What Cipher found most interesting was that the system let Cipher pick the color of the boot, and at no additional cost. Cipher made his first purchase spending 25 Dream Credits (DC), soon after he spent the credits the boots were set to his dimensional storage.
Opening his dimensional storage Cipher pulled out the pair of boots, they were light silver just like the jacket that Toli and the townspeople of Sol had given him. The boots had zippers on the inside and instead of hard fabric it was comfortable and compressing fabric that would fix with any type of pants he decided to wear. They were waterproof, had minor fire resistance, had D-Class defense, and amazingly were still breathable so his feet wouldn't cook when he wore them. After another once over Cipher put the boots back into his dimensional storage and opened up the Armor Shop again. CIpher went and found three more items, a shirt, pants, and a belt. Cipher found each piece and was happy with his choices, the shirt cost 15 Dream Credits and was black with silver trim. The pants he found were also black with silver trim and cost 25 Dream Credits. Lastly, the belt was light silver with black trim and cost 10 Dream Credits leaving Cipher with 25 Dream Credits left over. After inspecting each piece he put them back into his dimensional storage and went to bed.
Waking up Cipher thought to himself [Today is the day], He was excited and scared all at the same time, today he would get his first assignment from Axel after that though he would receive the assignments from the Goddess of the Void, using DEM as the intermediary. After having showered, gotten dressed, and rushing and almost choking on his breakfast, Cipher went to find Axel to get his first assignment.
After looking around the Church for a while Cipher found Axel in the courtyard preparing what looked like a set of armor pieces. Axel seeing hearing Cipher walking up started speaking while he finished arranging the armor pieces, "I see you got a good night's rest, it makes me happy to know you took my words to heart. Now I have a gift for you, this will be your first set of armor. I made sure that it was light silver to match the jacket you received from the Townspeople of Sol. All the equipment is Lower B-Class and will protect you against most Nightmares. Once you earn enough Dream Credit you should get some new higher class armor, don't feel as though you have to keep this just because I gave it to you, I would rather that you were safe and alive." Cipher understanding Axel's words couldn't help but look over all the pieces that were laid out in front of him. There was a set of greaves, formfitting gauntlets, vambraces, and breastplate, Cipher was so ecstatic that he started putting everything on right then and there.
Axel watching the scene play out was happy to see the reaction from Cipher, taking a breath Axel spoke, "It's time I give you your first mission, the place you need to travel to is some distance away from here. You are assigned to find and kill the B-Class Nightmare variant that is terrorizing 'Future City' in 'Future Land'. Looking at Axel with a look of disbelief he asked, "There is really a place called, 'Future Land' and it has a city called 'Future City'? They couldn't come up with a better name? Axel shooting Cipher a look said, "Yes there is a place called Future Land, DEM already has the coordinate so you don't get lost. As to your last question I didn't name the city so I can't say for sure why it was named that. You will be traveling through the 'Land of Nightmares' make sure you are careful and do not stray too far from your path."
