Everyone looked over at the sound of the falling that came from the other end of the room. Bryan looked over as well in shock as he reckoned that he would have been the one lying on the ground, unconscious, he hadn't dodged in the nick of time.
Bernadette looked back at the kids with eyes filled with pity; they were so getting into trouble for this stunt right here.
She and Bryan propped up the now unconscious Bruce who had fallen over after being hit by that deadly projectile that was fired his way….

Five hours earlier.
The door opened and Bernadette walked in with a bag of groceries. She had a big smile plastered on her face as she closed the door and headed to the kitchen to drop off the bags.
"How was school today, dear?" she asked Walter who was busy with his books to even notice her entering.
He replied with a tired yawn, "boring and hectic."
