Bryan left the coffee shop but didn't return back to Sapphire hotels. He, instead, took a detour and arrived at his rented apartment in Raymond Street. It has been a long time since he last slept here and he felt like the money had paid for this house was a waste.
He needed this house though and also the one at Rose Street. They were useful in case he needed somewhere to escape to and he knew that he always needed an escape route.
He opened the door to his apartment and found that nothing had changed from how he last saw it. The only new thing was the thin layer of dust that gathered over surfaces to prove that no one had stayed here for a few weeks.
He had only occasionally dropped by but he never stayed behind or cleaned the place. He sighed took a bowl and filled it with water and took a rag and started wiping the surfaces and then, afterwards, he took a mop and started cleaning the whole house.
